Here, learning is not a strict schedule, but a natural rhythm. See what happens when children are given the space to follow their own interests in our Talaghattapura campus.

A guide sits with a child as she works with the Trinomial Cube. My role is to observe and offer support when needed, allowing the child to lead the discovery while ensuring she feels encouraged and understood.

This video captures the quiet hum of activity in our lab. You'll see children independently engaged in various tasks: tracing shapes, working with cylinder blocks, sorting, and interacting, each absorbed in their own journey of discovery.

The simple joy of discovery is shared between a child and her guide. These moments of connection and shared excitement are at the heart of the learning process here at Hastam.

A beautiful interaction showing how a guide can gently introduce a new concept. The child's bright, engaged expression shows her active participation in the learning moment.

A guide introduces a toddler to a threading activity with large beads. This simple work is excellent for developing fine motor control, concentration, and the pincer grasp needed for writing later on.

Focus and fine motor skills in action. This young child is completely absorbed in the task of threading beads, a foundational practical life skill that builds concentration.

A child proudly displays a piece from a wooden animal puzzle. These puzzles help children learn about biology and zoology while also refining their shape recognition and fine motor skills.

A student works with a large-scale math material on the mat. This activity, which explores the concept of squares of numbers, shows how Montessori materials make abstract mathematical ideas visible and understandable.

To isolate and heighten the sense of touch, a child works with a sensorial material while blindfolded. This helps her focus solely on the texture, shape, or size of the objects, refining her stereognostic sense.

A child is deeply focused on a practical life activity, using a small rolling pin. Activities like this not only mimic real-world tasks but also develop coordination, strength, and a sense of purpose.

About A Day at Hastam: Learning in Action

At our lab, you will not see desks arranged in rows or a teacher standing at a board. Instead, you will see children moving at their own pace, some working with colored beads to grasp multiplication, others quietly pouring and sorting. We do not interrupt this flow. Our guides are trained to observe, letting your child choose their work and stick with it until they find their own rhythm, which is exactly how deep concentration and confidence are built.
