Hastam Montessori

Hastam Montessori

We create a nurturing Montessori environment where children learn by doing, at their own pace. We offer preschool programs, homeschooling kits, and teacher training.

Here is a moment of pure, uninterrupted focus. With our custom-made geometric blocks, this young learner is exploring shapes, balance, and spatial relationships entirely on her own terms. This is the heart of my program: creating a space for your child to discover their own capabilities and find joy in the process.
Each at-home kit is a treasure box of discovery, carefully prepared and handmade by me. This particular set includes materials for both math and language, like bead chains for counting, number cards, and phonetic object cards. It provides everything you need to bring a rich, hands-on learning environment into your home.
This image captures the story of how observation turns into creation. A young boy, after watching his mother make Montessori materials, decided to create his own set of bead bars late one night. It’s a powerful reminder that learning isn't scheduled; it's a spark that we must be ready to nurture whenever it appears.
Instead of asking children to memorize multiplication tables, we help them see and feel what multiplication really is. These beautiful, handmade Coloured Bead Bars allow a child to physically build quantities and understand the concept in a concrete way, laying a deep and lasting foundation for mathematics.
This handmade geometric board invites little hands to explore shapes and create their own patterns. Stretching the elastic bands around the pegs is a wonderful activity for developing fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the pincer grasp needed for writing. It’s a simple tool with endless possibilities for learning.

This is a moment that captures the spirit of Hastam. Here, one of our alumni returns to gently guide his little sister on her first day, helping her explore the materials and feel at home. It’s a beautiful example of how a nurturing start can inspire a lifetime of care.
Welcome to our prepared environment. The shelves are filled with Montessori materials, openly accessible for children to choose their own work. This setup is the foundation of self-directed learning, allowing each child to follow their curiosity at their own pace.
Learning isn't confined to tables. Our indoor play zone, with its slide, rocker, and trampoline, is essential for developing gross motor skills. It's a space for joyful movement, balance, and coordination, all on a soft, safe floor.
Here, a group of children are captivated by the Moveable Alphabet, a cornerstone of Montessori language learning. They work together, sounding out words and discovering the magic of language in a tangible, collaborative way.
The pride of accomplishment is written all over her face. After carefully pounding her own snack, she gets to enjoy the results. This is a simple yet profound practical life activity that builds independence and confidence.
A child experiences the relationship between size and dimension by combining two classic Montessori sensorial materials, the Pink Tower and the Brown Stairs. This hands-on work builds a concrete foundation for future mathematical understanding and sharpens visual discrimination.
Our entrance, with its name in both English and Kannada, is often greeted by a natural carpet of flowers from the tree above. I believe a child's learning environment should feel as welcoming and beautiful as nature itself.
We found a tiny snail in our garden, so small we needed a magnifying glass to see it. Moments like these are priceless, offering a chance for spontaneous observation and a deep, personal connection with the natural world.

This is what our mixed-age environment is all about. Here, an older child, one of our alumni, gently guides his younger sister on her first day, helping her with an animal puzzle. It’s a beautiful moment of natural leadership and care.
Deep concentration is a hallmark of Montessori learning. This child is fully engaged with the Pink Tower and Broad Stair, classic sensorial materials that help develop visual discrimination of size and dimension.
There's immense pride in doing things for yourself. This child is enjoying a snack she prepared all on her own using a mortar and pestle, a perfect example of our practical life skills activities.
I believe in a gentle start. A parent sits with their child, offering comfort and support as he explores a new puzzle. This partnership is key to building a bridge of trust between home and school.
Learning from peers is one of the most powerful aspects of our mixed-age classroom. Here, a four-year-old voluntarily shows a two-year-old how to work with the knobbed cylinder blocks, building empathy and social skills.
This is our prepared environment. The low, open shelves are filled with carefully chosen Montessori materials, inviting children to explore independently and choose activities that spark their interest.
Welcome to Hastam. Our entrance, shaded by a beautiful tree, reflects our connection to nature and our local roots, with our name presented in both English and Kannada.
Movement is essential for learning. A child confidently navigates our indoor climbing wall, developing her gross motor skills, coordination, and problem-solving abilities in a fun and challenging way.

This is a moment that captures the heart of our community. One of our alumni returned not as a student, but to gently guide his little sister on her first day. This is the essence of Montessori: a supportive, mixed-age environment where learning and love are passed down.
Welcome to your future classroom. Our 5500 sqft campus is a fully equipped, prepared Montessori environment, not a simulation. You will learn and practice with these materials on low, accessible shelves, understanding how every detail is designed for a child's independent exploration.
As a guide, your role is not to instruct, but to connect. Here, a teacher shares a moment of discovery with a child using geometric shape insets. You will learn how to facilitate these joyful interactions that spark a child's natural curiosity and love for learning.
The Montessori approach makes abstract concepts concrete and beautiful. This student is exploring the decanomial square, a sensorial material that lays the foundation for understanding multiplication and geometry. Our diploma course dives deep into the genius of these math materials.
Our school on Kanakapura Road is a place where nature and learning meet. The entrance, with its name in both English and Kannada, reflects our connection to the local community and the natural, welcoming environment we cultivate for children and trainees alike.
One of the most valuable aspects of our classroom is the mixed-age group. Here, a four-year-old child naturally takes on the role of a mentor, helping a two-year-old with the knobbed cylinders. This interaction builds empathy, leadership, and a true sense of community.
Learning is a sensory experience. This child is using her stereognostic sense, the ability to identify objects by touch alone, while blindfolded. You will learn how to guide children through these powerful sensory explorations that refine their perception and build concentration.

Montessori Teacher Training Diploma

This wooden tanker was handmade by an eight year old boy over seven hours. He started with a manual drill, built a table with wheels, added a seat, and then transformed it into this creation, all driven by his own curiosity. This is what I believe in: the process is the prize, and true learning flows when a child is deeply immersed in their work.
I wanted to share a moment that truly warmed my heart. One of our alumni, Advaith, returned not for himself, but to walk his little sister into her very first day. He stayed by her side, showing her the materials and making this new space feel like home.
This is what I mean by a 'prepared environment'. The low, open shelves are filled with beautiful, purposeful materials, all within a child's reach. This space is intentionally designed to invite exploration and allow children to choose their own activities, fostering independence and a love for learning.
Practical life activities are the heart of our curriculum. Here, a child is using a small rolling pin and board to work with dough. These are not toys, but real, child-sized tools that help develop coordination, concentration, and a wonderful sense of accomplishment.
Our indoor climbing wall is a favorite spot for children to channel their energy. As this young girl navigates her path up the wall, she is developing strength, balance, and problem solving skills, all while having fun.

My Story

We’re Hastam Montessori. 'Hastam' means hand - you’ll spot it on our gate, in Kannada too. That word shapes everything we do. Kids here get messy, curious, sometimes spend hours on one project, just exploring. It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about letting creativity flow. We make our own learning stuff, like sandpaper letters. Seeing kids help each other, alumni coming back for siblings - that’s when we know, this place is more than school. It’s home, with respect and warmth.

My Work

Montessori Programs for Kids & Adults - We run preschool for 2-6 yrs, Montessori homeschooling kits, Learner’s Lab, summer camps, and Diploma training.

Child-Led, Mixed-Age Classrooms - Kids choose what to work on, learn at their own pace, and mix with different ages. It’s real Montessori.

Hands-On Learning, Not Just Memory - No rote stuff. Kids use Coloured Bead Bars for multiplication, pound spices, open lock boxes - learning by doing.

Campus Full of Discovery - We’ve got a climbing wall, garden for little harvests, and nature-watching. Learning happens everywhere here.

Gentle Beginning for New Kids - First days are soft. Parents stay close, helping kids settle in with trust and comfort. No rush.
