As a guide, your role is not to instruct, but to connect. Here, a teacher shares a moment of discovery with a child using geometric shape insets. You will learn how to facilitate these joyful interactions that spark a child's natural curiosity and love for learning.
The Montessori approach makes abstract concepts concrete and beautiful. This student is exploring the decanomial square, a sensorial material that lays the foundation for understanding multiplication and geometry. Our diploma course dives deep into the genius of these math materials.
Our school on Kanakapura Road is a place where nature and learning meet. The entrance, with its name in both English and Kannada, reflects our connection to the local community and the natural, welcoming environment we cultivate for children and trainees alike.
One of the most valuable aspects of our classroom is the mixed-age group. Here, a four-year-old child naturally takes on the role of a mentor, helping a two-year-old with the knobbed cylinders. This interaction builds empathy, leadership, and a true sense of community.
Learning is a sensory experience. This child is using her stereognostic sense, the ability to identify objects by touch alone, while blindfolded. You will learn how to guide children through these powerful sensory explorations that refine their perception and build concentration.

My Story

We’re Hastam Montessori. 'Hastam' means hand - you’ll spot it on our gate, in Kannada too. That word shapes everything we do. Kids here get messy, curious, sometimes spend hours on one project, just exploring. It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s about letting creativity flow. We make our own learning stuff, like sandpaper letters. Seeing kids help each other, alumni coming back for siblings - that’s when we know, this place is more than school. It’s home, with respect and warmth.

My Work

Montessori Programs for Kids & Adults - We run preschool for 2-6 yrs, Montessori homeschooling kits, Learner’s Lab, summer camps, and Diploma training.

Child-Led, Mixed-Age Classrooms - Kids choose what to work on, learn at their own pace, and mix with different ages. It’s real Montessori.

Hands-On Learning, Not Just Memory - No rote stuff. Kids use Coloured Bead Bars for multiplication, pound spices, open lock boxes - learning by doing.

Campus Full of Discovery - We’ve got a climbing wall, garden for little harvests, and nature-watching. Learning happens everywhere here.
