The Board & Train Program: A Puppy's Transformation
See how Pepper, a Golden Retriever puppy, transformed during her 30-day immersive Board & Train program. From mastering toilet habits to navigating city streets and staying calm around family, this is what positive, reward-based training looks like in practice.
The beautiful result of our Board & Train program. Here is Pepper, calm and relaxed on the couch next to her young family member. Our goal was to ensure she grew into a gentle and trustworthy companion for the child, and this picture shows that success.
A pivotal moment in our training. This was Pepper's first walk with her family, where she demonstrated excellent loose-leash skills. She walked calmly beside her young handler without pulling or picking up things from the street, showing how our training translates directly to real-world situations.
A well-socialized dog is one that can remain calm and ignore other dogs. Here, Pepper is practicing relaxing while my own dogs, Vanilla and Coco, enjoy their chew treats nearby. This is a crucial skill for any dog, especially in a multi-dog household or in public.
Getting a puppy comfortable with car travel is essential. These photos show Pepper learning to share space and relax during car rides with my dogs. Early and positive exposure to travel helps create a dog that is a great companion for all of life's adventures.

About this collection
A Board & Train program isn't about dropping off your dog and expecting a miracle; it's about me building a foundation that you then maintain. Take Pepper’s journey—we didn't just teach commands. We worked on real-world proofing, like calm car rides, ignoring distractions on walks, and learning to relax around family, so she could seamlessly integrate into her home rather than just being a dog who knows how to sit on command.
What Happens During the Program
When a dog joins my 30-day residential program, they live in a home environment, not a kennel. This allows me to work on behavior modification and life skills 24/7. Whether it is a puppy like Pepper learning to navigate a busy market or an older dog working through anxiety, the goal is always the same: integration.
The Focus Areas
- Real-World Proofing: Training only matters if it works outside the house. We practice walking on busy Bengaluru streets, riding in cars, and socializing in public spaces so your dog learns to handle the world confidently.
- Impulse Control: This is the secret to a calm dog. I teach pups to wait at doors, ignore distractions, and settle on command, which prevents behaviors like jumping, nipping, or lunging.
- Relationship Building: I coach you as much as I train your dog. At the end of the 30 days, we conduct a mandatory 2-hour handover session where I show you exactly how to maintain the progress we have made.
Why This Works
Many pet parents struggle with puppy socialization and obedience because they do not have the time to be consistent every single day. My program does the heavy lifting to kickstart that consistency. Because I use only positive reinforcement—no force or fear-based tactics—your dog learns because they want to, not because they are scared. This builds a bond that lasts a lifetime, transforming your dog from a chaotic puppy into a calm, reliable family member.
Deepthi
I'm Deepthi. I believe dogs belong in our lives, not just our houses, and my Board & Train program is designed to bridge the gap between 'pet' and 'family member.' I don't use force. I build trust, patience, and guidance to help your pup become the calm, confident companion you actually want to live with.
