A bored dog is often a destructive dog. Learn how structured puzzles, scent work, and agility play can calm your dog, boost their confidence, and sharpen their focus.

Mental exercise is just as important as physical exercise. Here, my dog Vanilla is learning to solve a Dog Sudoku puzzle. These activities challenge their minds, teach problem-solving skills, and are a great way to bond.

Scent detection training is an incredible way to engage your dog's natural abilities. During a search and rescue exercise, I was amazed when Vanilla found me. It's a powerful reminder to never underestimate what our dogs are capable of.

Training should be fun for both the dog and the human. Here, Happy the Golden Retriever is learning focus and impulse control through a fun agility exercise. Using a favorite toy as a reward can be just as motivating as food.

Training is a continuous process that involves the humans as much as the dog. I make our sessions fun and engaging to ensure that the lessons stick and the bond between you and your dog grows stronger.

Did you know that dog puzzles offer numerous benefits? They provide mental stimulation, reduce boredom, help calm anxious dogs, slow down fast eaters, and build confidence. I incorporate puzzles into many of my training plans.

About Enrichment: Puzzles, Play & Confidence Building

Enrichment isn't just a toy; it’s a vital tool. When your dog is bored, they usually invent their own trouble, like chewing furniture or barking excessively. Instead of only trying to tire them out physically, we teach them to use their brain. A 15-minute puzzle session or scent game often exhausts a high-energy dog more effectively than an hour of walking, giving you back your peace of mind at home.
