Group Therapy for Child Social Skills
Social skills are built through connection, not textbooks. Our group sessions turn learning into play, helping your child build confidence, make friends, and practice real-world interactions in a safe, supervised environment.
A happy group of children with their therapist. Our group sessions are designed to foster friendships and create a sense of belonging, which is just as important as the therapy itself.
Our group sessions often take place outdoors, where children can learn and play in a natural environment. Activities like this train game encourage teamwork, following instructions, and social interaction, which are crucial for development.
An outdoor group session where children are learning actions for words like 'reading' and 'writing'. Group settings provide a great opportunity for peer learning and practicing communication with others.
Dance and movement are fantastic ways for children to express themselves and interact with their peers. Our group dance sessions are full of energy and help improve coordination and social comfort.

About Group Sessions for Social Skills
It is common for children to feel hesitant before joining a group, but our 'first, a connection' approach ensures they feel safe before stepping into group dynamics. We start small—whether it’s learning to pass a ball or waiting for a turn in a game—because we know that the biggest breakthroughs often happen in these quiet, everyday moments of peer interaction.
How Our Group Sessions Work
We believe that social skills are caught, not just taught. Our group sessions, held at our various centers in Gurgaon, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and beyond, move beyond the static therapy room. We use both indoor sensory-safe areas and outdoor spaces to create real-world contexts.
- Joint Attention & Turn-Taking: Whether it is a parachute game or passing a ball, we structure activities to teach children to wait for their turn and focus on a shared goal with peers.
- Real-World Practice: From mock store visits to practice transactions to park outings that teach sportsmanship on the cricket field, we focus on functional skills children need in daily life.
- Peer Modeling: Children learn best from each other. In our small batches, we pair children at different developmental stages so they can observe, mimic, and encourage each other's progress.
Why Play Matters
We avoid rigid, drill-heavy approaches for social skills. Instead, we use 'masti' (fun) as a vehicle for growth. When a child is laughing during a dance movement session or collaborating on a puzzle, they are more open to absorbing new communication patterns.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does my child need to be ready for groups? We understand that some children are not ready for group settings initially. Our team assesses your child during an individual session first. If they need to work on sitting tolerance or basic instructions before joining a group, we start there.
What is the batch size? To ensure every child gets individual attention, we keep our groups small, typically 4 to 6 children, managed by a Lead Therapist and an assistant. This ensures safety and keeps the environment calm.
How do we track progress? We don't rely on charts alone. We track progress through your child's ability to engage, share, and follow instructions. We celebrate every small win—a 'High five' or a shared toy—because we know these are the foundations of long-term social growth.
