A tour of a massive floral installation I designed for a hotel lobby. The arrangement is a cascade of vibrant orange and yellow marigolds, flowing from terracotta pots and combined with lush greenery, creating a spectacular and welcoming masterpiece.
Divine grace cast in brass. For this event, I created a sacred corner featuring a beautiful Nataraja (dancing Shiva) statue, surrounded by offerings of marigolds and coconuts. This shows how I infuse decor with culture, color, and charm.

Most people focus on the main stage backdrop, but the magic truly lives in the transition zones and corners. Whether it is a cascading marigold arrangement for a grand lobby or styling a traditional Nataraja idol with fresh flowers, these elements create the atmosphere your guests feel the moment they walk in. I do not just place flowers; I work with the space's architecture to ensure every bloom feels deliberate.
Design is a conversation between the venue and the vibe you want to set. When I design a lobby installation at a venue like the JW Marriott, I am not just filling a corner with flowers. I am considering the flow of the room, the existing lighting, and the visual weight of the structure. My approach combines structural fabrication with organic textures. I use sturdy metal bases disguised by dense floral application, ensuring the piece holds its shape throughout long events.
For sacred spaces, I prioritize cultural authenticity. If we are placing a deity idol like Ganesha or Nataraja, the decor must serve as a frame rather than a distraction. I use traditional elements like brass, copper, and marigold garlands, but I style them with a contemporary eye. This might mean layering different varieties of jasmine and tuberoses to add scent as well as color, or using foliage to soften the hard edges of a statue.
The Divine Details extend to the hidden work as well. This includes behind-the-scenes rigging to make a ceiling installation appear weightless or selecting the right humidity-resistant blooms for outdoor areas. Every element is tested for its longevity, so your space looks as fresh at the end of the night as it did when the doors first opened. I am based in Mumbai and travel throughout India, bringing this specific attention to detail to everything from intimate home pujas to grand hotel celebrations.
