Sangeet & Reception Decor: Immersive Themes & Ballroom Design
The Sangeet and Reception are where the celebration truly comes alive. From celestial starry nights to retro disco themes, I transform standard ballrooms into living, breathing stories that keep the energy electric.
A wide view of the celestial-themed sangeet, where pillars of cascading crystals and illuminated rings hang from the ceiling. The design creates a magical, starry ambiance, with a neon lotus stage as the focal point for the evening's performances.
The stage is set for a retro disco night. This image captures the high-energy lighting, massive LED screen, and scattered disco balls that transformed the venue into an 80s dance party, complete with transparent ghost chairs for a modern touch.
A tour of a dreamy wedding reception with a lavender and white color palette. The decor features crescent-shaped floral arches on stage, hanging floral installations with disco balls, and elegant lounge seating, creating a sophisticated and romantic atmosphere.
This video captures the whimsical and dreamy vibe of a sangeet night. From costumed performers to a shots bar and a stage set for music, the deep blue lighting and celestial decor elements created an unforgettable party experience.

A modern and chic photo booth for a sangeet night. I designed this illuminated neon cube with a backdrop of crystal strings, creating a perfect spot for couples and guests to capture stylish memories. The plush sofa and floral arrangement add a touch of elegance.
Another angle of the neon cube photo booth, showing how it stands out against the dark, draped background. The combination of sharp, modern lines and delicate, shimmering crystals makes for a visually striking installation.
A beautifully blurred shot of the sangeet decor, focusing on the shimmering lights and crystal elements. The ghost chairs and floating candle centerpieces are bathed in blue light, creating a dreamy and ethereal atmosphere for the celebration.

About Unforgettable Nights: Sangeet & Receptions
Beyond simple floral backdrops, my process starts with transforming the venue's architecture. Whether we are rigging a full ceiling of cascading crystal strings to create a starry sky or installing intelligent moving head lights to turn a ballroom into a retro disco, the goal is to break the venue's rigid lines and create a truly immersive environment where your guests feel transported.
When designing for high-energy events like a Sangeet or a reception, the lighting and structural rigging are just as important as the florals. I often work with large hotel venues like the St. Regis or Fairmont in Mumbai, where the challenge is to make a vast ballroom feel intimate and personal.
My approach usually starts with the 'sky' of the room. By using heavy-duty trussing systems masked with fabric, I can hang thousands of fairy lights, crystal strings, or floral trellises, effectively lowering the ceiling and focusing the energy downward onto the dance floor. This is where the magic happens. We layer this with intelligent lighting—sharpies, wash lights, and haze machines—that pulse to the music, turning your first dance or a performance into a stadium-like experience.
For reception evenings, I lean into a different kind of luxury. We might replace standard hotel furniture with velvet lounge clusters to encourage conversation, or build custom island bars that serve as the anchor for the evening. If you want a specific vibe, such as a moody 80s disco or an ethereal white-and-green garden, we tailor the material palette to match. It is not just about placing decor; it is about controlling the flow of the room so that every corner feels like a distinct part of your story.

I do not just decorate rooms; I build atmospheres. When we work together, we are not just ticking off a checklist of flowers and fabric—we are building a memory. If you want a space that feels as alive as the music playing in it, let’s talk.
