Behind the Scenes: My Mehendi Process & Craft
See what actually goes into every cone, every stroke, and every design. From my studio in Dombivali to the professional stage, here is how I craft my mehendi magic. 🧿
A great mehendi design starts with a great cone. This short tutorial shows my process for making a mehendi cone from scratch, from rolling the cellophane to filling it with henna paste and sealing it for a perfect, fine tip. I teach this essential skill in my workshops.
This was a proud moment for me, receiving a certificate of participation from mehendi legends Harin Dalal and Miral Patel at the Mehendi Marathon. Being recognized by masters in the field is an honor and reflects my commitment to my craft.
About Behind the Scenes: My Process & Craft
Most people just see the stain, but the real secret is the cone. I hand-roll every single one using a specific cellophane gauge to ensure that perfect 0.2mm flow, and I teach this exact consistency in my workshops so you can stop struggling with patchy henna.
The Art of the Cone
Many students come to me thinking that a good design is just about hand movement. It is not. My process starts with the chemistry of the henna and the quality of the cone. Whether I am prepping for a bride or getting ready for a teaching session, I focus on the basics: the mix, the consistency, and the grip. Using the wrong plastic or a bad mixture leads to hand fatigue and broken lines. In my classes, we spend time on the mechanics of cone-rolling because once you master your tool, your art naturally improves.
Learning from the Best
My journey has been a mix of practice and professional recognition. Being honored with a certificate at the Mehendi Marathon by legends like Harin Dalal and Miral Patel was a huge validation, but it also taught me the value of community. This is why I keep my batch sizes in Dombivali small—between 5 and 8 students. I want to see you hold the cone, guide your hand, and fix your strokes in real time.
What to Expect in My Classes
