I love bringing your stories to life, and this custom 30th birthday cake was a special one. The sleek grey frosting and tall silver candles create a modern look, while the film strip of black and white photos adds a touch of nostalgia. It’s a perfect way to celebrate a major milestone.
This cake was created to celebrate an 80th birthday for a beloved dad. I used a series of his life photos to create an edible memory lane wrapped around the cake. The simple message on top keeps the focus on the pictures, making it a deeply personal and heartfelt gift.

About Celebration Photo Cakes
Getting your photos on a cake is easier than it sounds. You just send over 4 to 6 of your favorite pictures, and I format them into a film reel that wraps around a tall, fresh-baked cake. Since I use edible sugar sheets, you get a clean, sharp look that stays delicious. Just keep in mind that I need a little time to prep these properly, so do ping me a few days before your big date.
How to Order Your Memory Cake
These aren't just desserts, they are storytelling pieces. When you order a memory cake, I use high-quality edible prints to create a continuous reel around the sides.
- The Photos: Black and white photos tend to look the most classic and cinematic against the frosting, but color photos work perfectly fine too. When you send them over, make sure they are clear and high-resolution for the best print quality.
- The Cake Style: We have two main options. The Classic Photo Reel is a clean, smooth-frosted tall cake (1kg). For something extra special, the Luxe Fault-Line Cake (1.5kg) features torn-frosting edges that reveal the photo strip from within, accented with metallic edible paint.
- Flavor Choices: It’s not just about the look. I bake these in classics like Belgian Chocolate, Red Velvet, Vanilla Bean, and Butterscotch to make sure everyone at the party gets a slice they love.
- Custom Touches: Want to add a birthday age or a specific message? I can handle that with hand-piped text or custom toppers. Just let me know when you book. Since every cake is handmade from scratch in my Bangalore kitchen, each one has its own unique personality.
