About My Postpartum Fitness Journey
Postpartum recovery isn't just about losing the baby weight; it's about reconnecting with a body that has done the incredible work of creating life. When I started my journey, I didn't rush into high-intensity workouts. I focused on gentle core engagement and pelvic floor healing, the non-negotiables that actually make a difference long-term. Whether you are recovering from a C-section or a natural birth, the most important step is consistency, not intensity.
My own path to getting back on track wasn't linear. Like many of you, I dealt with brain fog, zero sleep, and the constant feeling that I was falling behind. I realized quickly that ‘bouncing back’ is a myth. Instead, I committed to a sustainable, habit-based approach that actually fit into a chaotic mom-life.
Why the focus on the basics?
Too many new moms jump straight into intense cardio, which can actually do more harm than good for a recovering core. My recovery journey was built on three pillars:
- Core & Pelvic Floor First: Before any heavy lifting, I had to fix the foundation. We start with simple, deep core breathing and glute activation. Healing conditions like Diastasis Recti doesn't require a gym—it requires patience and specific, guided movements.
- Nutrition Without Drama: I didn’t cut out Roti or Rice. Instead, I learned how to balance macros to keep my energy high for the baby while slowly shedding the extra weight. Breastfeeding requires fuel, not starvation.
- Consistency > Intensity: I learned that 20 minutes of movement three times a week is infinitely better than one 'gym marathon' that leaves you too burnt out to be present with your child.
My coaching philosophy is rooted in this same experience. I know what it’s like to feel ‘tumse na hopayega’ (you can't do it). But you can. Whether you need help with postpartum weight loss, energy management, or just understanding how to move safely again, I am here to be the accountability partner I wish I had back then. We don't do fads here; we do real life.
