Functional Training for Kids and Partners
Discipline has no age limit. Whether you are training with your child to build their foundation or with a partner to push your own limits, we focus on real strength and mental grit.
Get a training partner who challenges you. This session shows clients working together on partner wall sits, kettlebell squats, and synchronized push-ups, building strength and community at the same time.
Making strength training functional and fun. Here, I'm performing dumbbell squats with my son on my shoulders, adding a live, unstable weight that challenges my core and balance.
Training can be creative and involve the whole family. A client performs a dumbbell floor press while his kids balance on a tire on his legs, turning a core exercise into a fun stability challenge.
Building a strong core with a partner sit-up drill. This exercise requires teamwork and coordination, and having a young supervisor makes sure we don't quit.
Building the next generation of champions. I teach kids the fundamentals, like skipping rope, to develop coordination, footwork, and cardiovascular endurance from a young age.
The discipline of training starts anywhere. Here, a young client practices his jump rope skills at home, showing that the commitment to fitness extends beyond the gym walls.
It's never too early to learn proper form. This young champion is working on his overhead press, building a foundation of strength and confidence.
Rope climbs are a fantastic tool for building upper body and grip strength. I guide young athletes through challenging but rewarding exercises like this to build their physical and mental fortitude.
This partner drill uses a medicine ball pass during a glute bridge, creating a dynamic exercise that strengthens the core, glutes, and improves coordination between partners.
About Training for All: Kids & Partners
Training with a partner or child is not about ease; it is about accountability. When you have a training buddy, you cannot cut corners or skip that last rep. At Fitwithbox, I structure these sessions to build shared responsibility. Whether it is partner sit-ups, medicine ball tosses, or helping a child master their footwork, the goal is the same: push each other until you find your power.
I believe that 'jo badalta hai, wo aage badhta hai' (he who changes, moves forward). That applies to everyone from a young child just starting to learn coordination to an adult partner looking to hit a new personal best.
The Focus
- For Kids: We focus on the basics of movement. Skipping for footwork, stability drills on tires, and controlled lifting. We don't just 'play'; we teach discipline and confidence through physical challenges. They learn early that strength is a mindset.
- For Partners: Partner workouts (like tug-of-war or synchronized squats) are designed to kill complacency. If one person tires, the other pushes them. This creates a feedback loop that forces better form and higher intensity.
How We Train
Sessions take place in my studio in Yamuna Vihar. We use unconventional tools—tires, ropes, sleds—to break the monotony of standard gym routines. It gets loud, it gets messy, and you will sweat. We keep groups small, so every child and every adult gets the specific cues they need to perform exercises like overhead presses or deadlifts safely. If your guard is down, I will call you out. This is not for those looking for a fancy gym with air conditioning; this is for those who want to build a capable, tough body and a sharp, focused mind.
