About Workshops & Community Jams
I do not just teach moves; I teach how to listen to the music. In my House and Locking sessions, we focus on the fundamentals of groove and building that funky connection with the beat. It is a space where you learn to let go, whether you are a total beginner or looking to refine your technical foundations.
My teaching style is all about 'maza'—or having fun. I call my students my 'Houseketeers' because we learn together, laugh together, and grow together. We break down the basics of House dance and Locking so you do not feel overwhelmed, but instead, start to feel the music in your body. It is less about rigid repetition and more about finding that personal pocket in the music.
I believe dance is about connection, which is why I host and participate in regular community jams and cyphers here in Bengaluru. These aren't just classes; they are a place to exchange ideas, battle, and share the vibe with fellow dancers. If you are looking to get out of the studio and into the real street culture, these jams are where it happens.
I keep my groups inclusive. Whether you have never danced before or you have been locking for years, my sessions are designed to meet you where you are.
