About Dance Classes & Workshops
Where I Stand
Dance is my way to connect with the world. I’m Gagan Somaiah, and for me, movement is all about soul, music, and finding your own groove — not just nailing steps. Whether you’re here to pick up street dance workshops or just want to let loose, I’m all about keeping it real and fun.
What We Groove To
I teach street and club styles that I genuinely vibe with:
- House: Feel the music, work your footwork — it’s a chat with the beat.
- Locking: Old-school funk style choreography, sharp moves, lots of character.
- Hip Hop: Mixed into my sessions, with a focus on roots and culture.
How We Roll
Different formats to suit your pace:
- Regular classes: Weekly or bi-weekly, steady progress.
- Pop-Up workshops: Quick hits, perfect for a weekend challenge.
- Intensives: Deep dive, multi-session, really get inside one style. All at studios around Bangalore.
Vibe Check
Classes are judgement-free, all about the maza (fun) and santhoshakke (for happiness). Everyone dances together — pros, newbies, whoever. I believe in sharing energy, not showing off.

My Story
So, I’m Gagan. I dance, I ride. My world jumps between the thump of my Royal Enfield and the beat on the floor. Trends? Nah, I’m all about classic style. Last trip, me and my boys rode 3000 kms—Assam, Arunachal, Meghalaya—strangers to brothers, just the road and us. Same vibe with my Graffiti Crew—family, not just dancers. We create, battle, laugh. Real memories? Dancing under the moon, stories by the bonfire. That’s life.
