Street Dance Workshops & Community Sessions in Bengaluru
Dance is about sharing energy and growing together. Join my workshops and intensives for a judgement-free zone where pros and beginners connect to find their rhythm—or as we call it, 'santhoshakke' (for happiness).
This montage captures the atmosphere of one of my professional house dance workshops. I travel to different studios to conduct these intensives, sharing detailed knowledge on style and technique with dancers from other cities.
The dance community is everything. Here I am with fellow dancers and students at the Warehouse Mix event in Delhi after a workshop with the legendary Sekou Heru.
A group photo with the crew after an inspiring session. These events are a great opportunity for my students and me to learn from international artists and connect with the wider Indian dance scene.
Having some fun with a fellow dancer and friend. We call this our 'Bade Miyaan : Chote Miyaan' moment. The community is built on these friendships and lighthearted moments.
Another shot from our fun photo session. It's important to not take ourselves too seriously and remember that dance is about joy and connection.
About Workshops & Community
My workshops aren't about mindless drilling; they’re about understanding the 'why' behind the movement. Whether you're joining a weekend pop-up or a monthly street dance batch, we focus on musicality, footwork foundations, and improvisational concepts. I keep class sizes capped between 10 and 20 students so I can give you actual feedback on your form and groove rather than just letting you get lost in the crowd.
How We Groove
I break down my training into three distinct formats to help you learn at your own pace. If you're just starting, my Monthly Street Dance Batches are the best way to get consistent. Over 4 weeks, we cover the essentials—House footwork, Locking wrist rolls, or Hip-Hop bounce—culminating in a performance video where you can see your own progress.
For those wanting a deep dive, I hold Intensive Short Courses. These are less about choreography and more about the culture, the Funk era, and the musicality that defines these styles. It’s perfect if you want to understand the history of the dance as much as the technique.
The Vibe
My classes are held at professional studios across Bangalore, including ARDS in Indiranagar, Dhurii in Domlur, and Happie Feet in JP Nagar. The atmosphere is strictly non-judgmental. Whether you're a seasoned dancer looking to sharpen your skills or someone who has never stepped into a studio before, the goal is the same: connection.
What You Will Learn
- Foundations: We strip back the dance to its core, focusing on balance, timing, and weight distribution.
- Musicality: Learning to listen to the beat rather than just counting steps.
- Freestyle: I encourage every student to find their own movement signature, not just replicate mine.
- Community: Beyond the studio, you get access to our local street dance ecosystem and, occasionally, the chance to join our jam sessions.
