Our World of Framing: Expert Conservation & Custom Design
From family heirlooms to sports memorabilia, we use museum-grade techniques to ensure the things you love are preserved for generations, not just displayed.
Ever wonder why custom framing can be expensive? I break it down for you. It's a combination of superior materials like solid wood and museum glass, the skill of our artisans, and the endless customization we offer. It's an investment in quality that lasts a lifetime.
Join me for a tour of our object framing display wall. I discuss the stories behind various pieces, from a vintage camera and a framed maple leaf to sports memorabilia and a framed magazine, showing the endless possibilities of what you can frame.
A look back at our showcase at the ACETECH MUMBAI 2023 exhibition. We displayed a wide range of our capabilities, from large-scale canvas art and botanical prints to our extensive collection of frame mouldings for architects and designers.
About Our World of Framing
When you choose custom framing, you are investing in more than just a frame. We prioritize long-term preservation by using acid-free, conservation-grade matting, UV-protective museum glass, and reversible mounting techniques. Whether it is a vintage camera, a delicate maple leaf, or a heavy sports jersey, we ensure your piece stays protected without the damage caused by glue or inferior materials.
The Framebazaar Philosophy
We believe framing is about respect for the object. Whether it is a family Shrinathji or a signed cricket jersey, our job as consultants is to protect the item while making it look its best.
Why Custom Matters
Most ready-made frames use standard glass and acidic backings that yellow your photos and fade your art over time. We do the opposite:
- Conservation-Grade Materials: We use UV-protective museum glass and 100% cotton rag mats that are lignin-free, ensuring your artwork remains in its original state.
- Reversible Mounting: We never use permanent adhesives or glue that can damage your originals. We use T-hinging, archival tapes, and custom-cut mounts so the item can be removed safely in the future if needed.
- Precision Engineering: For 3D objects like cameras, medals, or daggers, we build custom shadow boxes with the correct depth, ensuring the item is secure and does not touch the glazing.
Our Process
We are not just a shop; we are framing consultants. We built our own software to provide digital previews, so you can see exactly how your frame will look before we start building. No guesswork, no price shocks. If you have something special that isn't moving, we can likely frame it. Our workshop in Goregaon is fully equipped to handle everything from restoration to modern gallery wall setups.
