This entire tribal-patterned rug is framed as a single, impactful piece of art. The simple, light wood floater frame contains the textile without a mat, allowing the vibrant colors and patterns to extend to the very edge.

I was honored to frame the beautiful Kantha artworks of Mahua Lahiri for her exhibition. This video shows the final display at the gallery, where my framing helps present these traditional textiles as contemporary art.

A vibrant, patterned scarf transformed into a stunning piece of wall decor. I used a floater frame style, which makes the scarf appear to hover within the frame, showcasing its intricate design and brilliant colors.

This cherished Jesus rug was framed with a double fabric mat and a golden wooden fillet to enhance its traditional feel. Museum glass was used to protect the delicate threads and ensure the colors remain true without any distracting reflections.

Framing a textile is not just about putting it behind glass. We avoid glue entirely, using techniques like stretching over acid-free boards or custom T-hinging to ensure the fabric stays safe, breathable, and taut without sagging over time.
