Our Montessori Philosophy and Team
We started Evolve to create a space where learning happens naturally. Get to know the principles behind our House of Children and the team dedicated to your child's growth.
This quote by Dr. Maria Montessori is the foundation of everything I do. I believe in observing the child and following their lead, not imposing a rigid curriculum.
Meet the team behind Evolve. In this video, my co-founder and I share our journey and the philosophy that drives our Montessori House of Children. We are committed to providing an authentic and nurturing learning experience.
About Our Philosophy & Team
Evolve began as a small, neighbourhood initiative during the pandemic, born from a simple desire to keep children engaged and curious in a safe way. Today, we remain deeply hands-on and strictly follow the Montessori method, ensuring that your child's readiness—not a rigid, pre-set curriculum—dictates their daily progress in our Basavanagudi centers.
Why We Are a House of Children
We believe that education is a natural process that develops spontaneously in a child. When we founded Evolve, we didn't want to build a traditional school. We wanted to create a home away from home where children are free to explore, make messes, and ask questions. Our environment is carefully prepared with Nienhuis-style apparatus, but the magic happens when our trained adults observe and step back to let the child lead.
Our Team and Approach
Our co-founders, Sapna and Prasad, are trained adults from the Indian Montessori Training Centre. We don't just teach; we facilitate. We maintain a 1:10 teacher-child ratio to ensure every child gets the attention they need. Because we are compliant with the Indian Montessori Centre, Karnataka chapter, you can be sure our methodology is authentic and rooted in established global standards.
Preparing for the Future
We understand that many parents eventually transition their children to conventional schools. That is why we have developed a specialized six-month 'Transition Bridge Course' for our seniors. This module focuses on blackboard learning and writing speed, ensuring your child is comfortable with conventional schooling requirements without sacrificing the creative, independent foundation they built with us during their Montessori years.
