My Culinary Journey & Features in the Press
Food has taken me everywhere, from my kitchen in Mumbai to dining tables in Japan. Here is a look at the stories, collaborations, and press features that keep me going.
Drum roll! I was named one of the most happening home chefs by Uppercrust Magazine. It's such an honour to be recognized for the work I do and the love I pour into my food.
I was so happy to be featured in The Tribune, Chandigarh. The article beautifully captured my philosophy of serving food that feels personal rather than performative.
The full article in The Sunday Tribune's Spectrum. Being featured alongside other women who pour their hearts into serving 'Ghar ka Khaana' was a very special moment for me.
Featured in Her Circle for my Kolhapuri cuisine! It was wonderful to share my childhood memories and insights into the rich ingredients and traditions of my homeland.
My Kolhapuri Chicken Pie was featured in Mid-Day India! I love giving an Indian twist to classic dishes, and this pie is a perfect example of that fusion.
My Safari Murg recipe was featured in Mid-Day. It was wonderful to share this unique Hyderabadi dish with their readers.
A behind-the-scenes shot from filming a documentary on Turmeric for French TV. Cooking has connected me with people from all over the world, and I'm so grateful for these opportunities.
People say my face lights up when I talk about food, and this shot captures that perfectly. This journey reminds me that hard work pays off and I'm on the right path.
Marathi Mulgi in Japan! Taking my food to Japan for a culinary exchange was a dream come true. This is a picture of my prep notes and the traditional thali plate we used.
The wonderful diners in Nagoya, Japan, who made my culinary exchange a huge success. Their enthusiasm for Maharashtrian cuisine was heartwarming.
About My Culinary Journey & In The Press
People often ask me why I put so much energy into pop-ups and collaborations instead of just sticking to one kitchen. The truth is, my best recipes come from meeting people and learning their stories. Whether I am cooking for diners in Nagoya or hosting a supper club in Santacruz, it is always about sharing a piece of my home with you.
When I started this journey, my only goal was to share the zhanzhaneet, or vibrant, flavours of Kolhapur that my Aai taught me. I never imagined it would lead to being named one of the 'Happening Home Chefs' by UpperCrust or getting featured in The Tribune for my home dining experiences.
Being in the news is lovely, but the real highlights happen off-camera. My favourite moments are from my international culinary exchanges—like bringing Maharashtrian thalis to Japan—and collaborating with fellow chefs across India. From a 3-day food festival in Chennai to bringing regional flavours to Lucknow, I have realized that food is the fastest way to make a stranger feel like family.
If you have been following my journey, you know I don't believe in fancy-fancy dining. I believe in honest, regional Indian cuisine—whether that is a classic Saoji chicken, my signature Mutton Loncha, or a fusion pie that catches a food critic's eye. I am always open to new collaborations, pop-ups, or private hosting. Let’s talk about bringing these stories and flavours to your next event or gathering.
