We are Sonal and Vaibhav, the partners behind Econscious. For five years, we've been working on the ground, turning plastic waste into useful things. We believe in slow, steady impact and are excited to share our journey with you.
As entrepreneurs, our greatest joy comes from creating innovative solutions that also provide employment and empower our team. We believe business should be a force for positive change in our communities.
On Republic Day, we celebrated with our team on a bench made from the very plastic waste we pledge to eliminate from our environment. This bench is a symbol of our commitment to a cleaner India.

Our journey started with a simple observation on a mountain trek and grew into a nationwide mission. From creating changing rooms for the Maha Kumbh to having our work gifted to the President of India, we are turning plastic waste into stories of impact.
About Our Story: From Waste to Wonder
When you look at our recycled plastic boards, you will notice that no two pieces are exactly alike. That marble finish isn’t a design choice we forced—it’s the result of how different types of waste plastics melt and bind together. Because we don’t use virgin plastic to achieve a uniform color, every planter, bench, or coaster you see carries the unique history of the waste it was made from.
We didn’t start as recycling experts. We started as two people on a trek, frustrated by the plastic litter ruining the trails we loved. That frustration led to a simple question: why isn't this waste being used?
Our process is simple but intense. We collect post-consumer plastic, clean it, shred it, and then heat-press it into durable, waterproof, and termite-proof boards. From those boards, we craft everything from corporate gifts like coasters and planters to heavy-duty outdoor benches that keep 40kg+ of plastic out of landfills each.
What we really want to share is that this isn't about perfectly polished goods. It’s about taking responsibility. We’ve had the honor of our work being gifted to the President of India and installing recycled changing rooms for women at the Maha Kumbh, but our daily focus remains the same—building a circular economy.
