Featured Veena Performances and Musical Highlights
A look back at the stages, collaborations, and concerts that define my musical journey and the diverse spaces I have filled with the sound of the veena.
This is me, ready for a concert and completely in my element. I love the energy of a live audience and the moments right before the music begins, with my veena in hand, on a beautifully lit stage.
The magic of a jugalbandi is in the connection between artists. Here I am, sharing the stage with talented musicians, creating a spontaneous and soulful musical dialogue. These collaborations are always a highlight for me.
Taking Carnatic music to a full house in Sontheim, Germany. It was an amazing experience to perform for an audience new to veena music and feel their appreciation. My global tours are about sharing our culture far and wide.
This is my special "Pancha Veena" concert, where five veenas play in harmony. The sound is so powerful and majestic, and it was an honor to perform this for the Kannada Rajyotsava celebrations.
There is a special, positive vibe when I perform inside a temple, right in front of the deity. This concert at Avani Sringeri Sharda Mutt was a truly soul-satisfying experience, connecting music with spirituality.
I felt so grateful to receive the prestigious Chowdaiah National Award. Moments like these, being recognized for my life's work in music, are incredibly humbling and motivate me to keep sharing the veena's voice.
A happy moment captured during my concert at Sree Ramaseva Mandali. I love what I do, and I think it shows. Whether it's a big festival or a small hall, I put my heart into every single note.
Here is a little glimpse of a live performance. You can see the dynamic energy on stage as I collaborate with other artists to create a powerful musical experience.
The music starts long before the concert. This is a look into the making of 'Meera Tarangini', a large 50-member ensemble. The process of composing and rehearsing with such talented musicians is just as exciting as the final show.
Music has no boundaries. This was a beautiful crossover concert in a church in Amsterdam, where my veena shared the stage with a flute and percussion. I love exploring these fusions of Western and Indian music.
About Featured
For these performances, I focus on the technical details of sound balancing and stage setup. Whether it is a solo recital in a temple or a large-scale jugalbandi with percussionists, I work closely with my sound team to ensure the veena's resonance reaches every corner of the venue.
My work takes me to diverse stages, ranging from the traditional acoustics of South Indian temples to the large concert halls of Germany and the Netherlands. Each performance presents a unique challenge, from managing the logistics of a large veena ensemble to coordinating the spontaneous musical dialogue of a jugalbandi. Beyond the stage, I dedicate significant time to rehearsals and sound checks. I believe that a great performance is built on the foundation of thorough preparation, ensuring that the interplay between the veena and percussion elements like the mridangam and ghatam is seamless. When I perform a Pancha Veena concert or a fusion show, the focus is on creating a rich, layered soundscape while maintaining the authenticity of Carnatic music. Whether you are planning a wedding, a cultural event, or a corporate function, my approach remains the same. I bring the same passion and precision to every show to make the veena's voice accessible and enjoyable for all.
