Here’s a behind the scenes look at my setup. I bring my own table, chairs, and art supplies to create a dedicated art corner. Guests can sit for a few minutes while I, and sometimes a fellow artist, work on their live sketch.

About Live Guest Portraits
I need about 8 to 10 minutes per person to capture a good likeness in graphite or charcoal. Since I work solo for these sessions, I can comfortably handle 20 to 25 portraits in a 4-hour block. If your guest list is huge, let me know, and I can bring a few other artist friends along so more people get their turn.
How it works at your event
When I set up, I basically create a mini art studio in the corner of your venue. All I need from your side is a small table, two chairs, and a spot with decent lighting so I can see the details. I bring everything else: my pencils, high-quality acid-free A4 paper, and fixative spray to make sure the sketches don't smudge while your guests walk around.
Why this works
Most events have that lull after the main ceremonies. Instead of guests getting bored, they can sit with me for a few minutes. It is interactive, it is quiet, and honestly, it is a great conversation starter. Each portrait is a unique piece of art, not a mass-produced giveaway.
Logistics and Practicalities
- Medium: I stick to black and white graphite and charcoal. It is quick, clean, and looks timeless.
- Capacity: 20-25 portraits per 4-hour event is my sweet spot to keep the quality high. If you have a larger event, we can coordinate to bring more artists.
- Travel: I am based in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, and I travel across the NCR for weddings and office events.
- The Keepsake: Every sketch is handed over in a clear protective sleeve so your guests can take it home without it getting ruined in their bag.
