About The Artist & Mentor
Training with me isn't about counting steps; it's about the mindset. Whether we’re working on a performance piece or a solo, expect real focus. If you’re late, it’s 50 squats—no exceptions. But when the music hits and you finally land that rhythm, you’ll understand exactly why we push for that sharpness.
My approach to dance is simple: it’s about connection. Over the last two decades, I’ve learned that the best dancers aren't the ones who get every step perfect, but the ones who put their soul into it.
The Training Ground
In my classes at IFBC Studios, Saket, we don't do 'okay wala' effort. You are here to learn, to sweat, and to grow. Expect a rigorous environment. We focus on technique, texture, and musicality, but we also emphasize the mental toughness required to perform. If you are here, you are here to push your boundaries.
The Choreography Process
Whether I’m choreographing for a professional crew or coaching a student for a stage performance, the goal is the same: impactful storytelling. We start by finding the 'why' behind the movement. We draft, we rehearse, and we tweak, pulling in elements of contemporary, jazz, urban, and afro styles to tell the story right. It’s not just about the moves; it’s about the feeling made visible.
Mentorship
I’m not just a teacher; I’m a student of the craft, too. I believe in observing, listening, and learning from the people I train. It’s a two-way street. If you're ready to put in the work and have that drive of 'mujhe karna hai' (I have to do it), I’m ready to guide you.
