My Approach to Wedding & Sangeet Sets
When I am performing for a wedding or Sangeet in Delhi NCR or outstation, the music needs to evolve with the night. My signature 'BollyTechno' style is about taking the tracks everyone knows—like Shubh or Diljit hits—and giving them a fresh, modern twist that feels like a club night, not a standard wedding playlist.
Why Live Percussion Matters
If you really want that concert feel at your Sangeet, I highly recommend my DJ + Live Percussionist setup. Adding a live dhol or electric drum set creates a physical bass impact you cannot get from speakers alone. It turns a standard dance floor into a high-energy stage, perfect for when the family gets involved.
The Logistics
To make sure everything runs smoothly on your big day, I have a few practical requirements:
- Sound & Light: I bring my own console, but I need you to ensure the venue provides a robust sound system (Line Array, Subs, Monitors) and proper stage lighting. This is critical for the 'club' sound quality.
- Pre-Event Check: I always arrive 60 minutes before the set time to handle the sound check and ensure the technical side is perfect before the first guest walks in.
- Music Format: Whether you need a 4-hour high-tempo cocktail set or a 6-hour Sangeet marathon, we will sync on the vibe beforehand. I am comfortable handling everything from high-energy bhangra to smooth, ambient tracks for earlier in the evening.
