About College Fests & Outdoor Concerts
Outdoor stages are a completely different beast compared to club sets, and I don't rely on just a console to carry the room. I frequently sync live percussionists or dhol players with my main mix, which bridges the gap between a standard DJ set and a full live band. This keeps the bass hitting hard and the energy locked in, even in large open spaces where sound can easily get lost.
When you are hosting thousands of people, the production needs to be as big as the crowd. I have performed at major festivals like the Kalakriti Fest and countless campus events, and I know exactly what it takes to control a sea of people.
The Setup for Scale
Outdoor concerts demand specific technical requirements. While I bring my own professional Pioneer console (NXS2 or 3000 series), successful outdoor shows rely on a proper technical rider. You need to ensure your sound vendor provides a robust Line Array system, dedicated sub-woofers, and stage monitors. I work directly with your tech team to ensure the audio input matches my high-tempo BollyTechno sets.
Why the Energy Stays High
My sets aren't about fading into the background. I use active microphone engagement to coordinate the crowd, instruct dance steps, and maintain the hype between tracks. Whether it is a Holi festival at a Delhi farm or a college fest in a stadium, I focus on the mix between chart-topping Punjabi tracks and the right techno drops to keep the adrenaline spiking.
