Latin Dance Festivals and International Events
From the energy of the Goa International Dance Congress to the vibes at Vamos Goa, I love traveling to connect with the global dance family and bringing that rhythm back to our local socials.
I was absolutely excited to share a dance with the incredible Salsa Queen, Bersy Cortez, at the Pune International Dance Congress. It’s moments like these, dancing with world-class artists, that fuel my passion for social dancing and teaching.

About this collection
Festivals are about more than just the parties. When I attend events like the Goa International Dance Congress or the Kolkata Salsa Weekend, I am not just there to perform. I am there to learn new footwork, study how international artists connect with their partners, and bring back those insights to help you improve your own social dancing.
Travel is a massive part of my growth as both a DJ and a dancer. When you step into a festival, you aren't just taking a class. You are immersing yourself in a culture of constant movement and shared rhythm.
Why I Prioritize Festivals
- Skill Evolution: Watching world-class artists like Bersy Cortez or Erik and Monika doesn't just show me how they move; it teaches me the nuance of musicality. I bring these patterns back to my Mambo footwork workshops in Thane and Mumbai.
- Social Dynamics: You learn the most when you dance with strangers. Festivals force you to adapt your lead to different follows, which is the fastest way to get comfortable on any dance floor.
- Music Theory in Action: DJing at these events means I see what tracks make people move. Whether it is Salsa On2, Bachata, or Kizomba, understanding what fills the floor helps me build better sets for our local Mumbai socials.
What You Can Expect
I do not just keep the experiences to myself. My goal is to bridge the gap between global festival standards and our local scene. When I run my Bachata Sensual or Salsa On1 classes, I incorporate the drills and the specific Afro-Cuban body movement techniques I observe at these international congresses. If you want to know what it feels like to dance at a major festival, or if you are preparing for your first big congress, come join one of my social sessions. We will work on your connection, your timing, and most importantly, finding your own groove.
DJ Jude
I am DJ Jude, and for me, music and dancing are everything. I travel to festivals to keep my own groove sharp and to bring back the latest trends in Salsa and Bachata to our local dance floors.
