It’s not just about steps. It is about the connection. Whether you are learning Salsa On1 or On2, I help you find that groove where the music and your partner just click.

This is what pure joy on the dance floor looks like. Here I am leading a fast-paced, high-energy Salsa On1 sequence, focusing on quick turns and playful footwork that matches the song's vibrant rhythm. ¡Vamos!

A simple and joyful social dance. It's not always about complicated moves, but about finding a groove with your partner and the music, which is what I emphasize for beginners.

About Salsa Partnerwork

When we practice partnerwork, I do not focus on rote memorization. We work on the mechanics of your frame and the 'tension'—that subtle communication between lead and follow—so you can dance socially with anyone, even if you have never met them before. It is about learning to listen to your partner as much as you listen to the music.

Beyond the Steps

Many beginners think Salsa is just counting 1-2-3, but the magic happens when you understand the connection. In my classes, we move past basic footwork to focus on the 'Lead and Follow' mechanics. This is what allows you to handle turns, spins, and hand changes comfortably on a busy dance floor.

What We Cover

  • Lead & Follow Mechanics: Learning to guide your partner clearly or follow with ease without relying on force.
  • Salsa On1 vs On2: Whether you want to dance on the downbeat or the rhythm, I help you adjust your timing so you are always in sync with the song.
  • Social Combinations: We practice moves that you can actually use in a social setting, not just rehearsed routines that fall apart if the song changes.

Where We Dance

I host regular sessions at Studio ConRi in Andheri West and The Community Studio in Santacruz West. These spaces are chosen specifically for their professional wooden floors and mirrors, which help with balance and spotting drills. If you are looking for a more intense focus, I also offer private lessons across the Mumbai metropolitan area where we can do video analysis of your movement to identify exactly where your frame might be breaking down.

Join the Community

My goal is for you to feel confident enough to jump into a social dance party and actually enjoy it. That is why I often host workshops right before our Latin Socials. You get to learn the technique in a small group and then immediately test it out in a supportive, real-world environment. Aaja, let’s dance for the fun of it.
