Taala Beats: Live DJ & Percussion Performance in Bengaluru
I bring the raw energy of live percussion straight to the dance floor, mixing electronic tracks with djembe beats for a full concert vibe.
A glimpse of the 'Taala Beats' concept in action. The raw power of live drums combined with electronic beats creates an irresistible rhythm that takes the party to the next level.
About this collection
This setup is not just about playing tracks. Because I bring a professional percussionist along, we need a mandatory 30-minute sound check before your guests arrive to perfectly balance the live drums with the electronic audio. It ensures that when the beat drops, it hits with full force rather than getting lost in the mix.
When I founded Taala Beats, my goal was to bridge the gap between a standard DJ set and a live concert experience. By combining my console work with a live Djembe or Conga player, we create a rhythmic fusion that electronic playback simply cannot replicate. It is the perfect choice for Sangeet nights, cocktail parties, and corporate events where you need the energy to remain consistently high from start to finish.
How It Works
This performance style relies on a jugalbandi or fusion format. I mix high-energy Bollywood remixes, Dappankuthu, and Afro-House tracks while the percussionist improvises over the top. This creates an interactive dynamic where the music responds to the crowd's energy in real time.
Requirements for the Best Sound
Because this involves live instrumentation, the sound quality is critical.
- Audio Balance: We need the venue's PA system to handle both the clean electronic output from my controller and the microphone inputs for the percussionist.
- Space: The percussionist needs a small, dedicated spot near the DJ console to maintain synchronization.
- Sound Check: As mentioned, this is non-negotiable. I use this time to adjust frequencies so the Djembe cuts through the bass without overpowering it.
Whether you are hosting an event in Bengaluru, Belagavi, or elsewhere, this setup transforms a standard party into a high-octane performance. If you want your dance floor packed with an authentic, live-music vibe, let’s talk about how to tailor this for your specific venue size.
Nuthan
Namaskara, I am Nuthan, and on stage, I go by VDJ Next Level. I started this fusion concept because I wanted to bridge the gap between a standard DJ set and a live concert. Whether it is a Sangeet or a corporate gig, bringing a live Djembe player creates a rhythm you can feel in your chest.
