Because this involves live instrumentation, the sound quality is critical.

• Space: The percussionist needs a small, dedicated spot near the DJ console to maintain synchronization.
• Sound Check: As mentioned, this is non-negotiable. I use this time to adjust frequencies so the Djembe cuts through the bass without overpowering it.
