Our Dance Family: Bharatanatyam Ensemble & Guru-Shishya Training
Experience the beauty of classical dance through the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara. We focus on synchronization, collective expression, and the joy of a dance family.
With my Guru, Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan. The knowledge and values she has imparted to me are the foundation of my own teaching. This relationship is at the heart of the Guru-Shishya tradition I follow in my classes.
A cherished moment with my school principal, Ms. Sheela Mallya, after a performance. The support from our mentors, both in and out of dance, is a blessing that fuels our dedication to the art form.

A solo moment during our group's 'Nrithyotsavam' performance. Even within an ensemble piece, there are opportunities for individual expression, all while being supported by the live orchestra and fellow dancers.
About Our Dance Family: Guru, Community & Ensemble
Performing in an ensemble is different from solo work. It requires listening to the person next to you and moving as one entity. In my classes, we don't just memorize the choreography. We practice tuning into that collective energy until the rhythm becomes second nature to everyone in the room.
The Guru-Shishya parampara is the heartbeat of my practice. It is not just about a teacher and student relationship; it is a bond that grows through shared discipline, long hours in the studio, and the simple joy of creating something beautiful together.
Whether we are perfecting a complex Jathi or just having fun during rehearsal banter, the focus remains on the integrity of the art. When you join, you are stepping into that same space. It is a place where tradition is respected, but the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We cover the entire Margam repertoire, but we also emphasize the unspoken communication that happens when a group dances in perfect synchronization. My training focuses on the foundational discipline taught to me by my Guru, Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan, ensuring that every student understands not just the steps, but the devotion behind them.
