The runway is a living, breathing story. I collaborate with designers to cast and style collections that do not just walk, they make a statement.

A collage of the diverse and powerful faces I cast and styled for the Huemn runway show at Lakme Fashion Week.

One of the models styled in a layered plaid look for the Huemn show, embodying a cool, androgynous aesthetic.

This look for the Huemn show featured a deconstructed suit with a sheer top, playing with tailoring and transparency.

A powerful, edgy look from the Huemn show, with a hand-painted dress and a distressed leather jacket.

For this Huemn look, we used makeup to create a raw, earthy texture on the skin, complementing the deconstructed garment.

A poignant portrait of a model styled in a draped, deconstructed denim piece for the Huemn runway.

A raw and evocative look from the Huemn show, where the styling and makeup tell a story of survival and strength.

This look combines graphic streetwear with distressed elements, a signature of the Huemn brand identity I helped bring to life.

A simple white tank top and trousers are transformed with distressing and texture for the Huemn runway.

A bold and unconventional runway look, pairing a simple bikini top with a deconstructed skirt and raw, textured makeup.

About Runway Vision: Show Styling & Casting

When I work on a runway show, the casting is just as important as the tailoring. For a collection like Huemn, I do not just pick models, I look for a specific attitude that matches the garment's narrative. We do not just style the look; we build the character of the walk, ensuring the hair, makeup, and accessories reinforce the designer's vision before the first model even hits the floor.

Staging a runway show is a high-pressure, collaborative dance. It requires total synchronization between the hair and makeup team, the photographer, the show director, and the models. My approach to fashion show production is rooted in creating a narrative, not just dressing individuals. Whether it is a deconstructed suit or a distressed denim ensemble, every piece has to communicate the brand identity.

The Casting & Styling Synergy

In a runway setting, styling dictates the movement. I focus heavily on how a garment sits on different body types and how that translates in motion. This is where casting becomes a crucial part of the styling process. I scout for faces that bring a raw, authentic energy to the collection. It is about finding that perfect match between the model’s persona and the designer's intent.

Technical Execution

My kit includes the heavy-duty logistics required backstage at events like Lakme Fashion Week. This includes:

  • Hair & Makeup Directives: Creating a cohesive aesthetic that complements the textures, whether it is raw, earthy skin or high-gloss finishes.
  • Quick-Change Logistics: Ensuring garments are runway-ready, steamed, and fitted for split-second backstage transitions.
  • Art Direction: Collaborating with photographers to capture the essence of the collection for archival and social media use.

My goal is to create a seamless visual experience where the styling feels inevitable and the collection feels complete. If you are a designer looking to craft a show that resonates, let us talk about the narrative your collection is waiting to tell.

I do not believe in solo runs. My runway work is a collaborative dance between the designer's dream, the hair and makeup artists, and the models who bring it all to life. I am simply the conductor, making sure every detail clicks into place.
