About Bachata & Kizomba: The Sensual Side
Akele aa jao, yaar! You absolutely do not need a partner to join our Bachata and Kizomba sessions. We use a constant partner rotation system in every class, which means you will switch partners throughout the hour. This helps you meet everyone in the batch, learn to adapt to different lead and follow styles, and builds a supportive, social environment where everyone is learning together.
While our heart beats for Salsa, we know that Latin dance is a spectrum. If you want to explore something different, our Bachata and Kizomba tracks at the CR Park studio offer a distinct kind of magic.
The Styles We Teach
- Bachata: It is about romance and musicality. We focus on smooth body rolls, hip motion, and intricate footwork that looks great on the social dance floor.
- Kizomba: This is soul in motion. Originating from Angola, Kizomba is less about flashy tricks and more about deep connection, grounding, and listening to your partner and the music. It is intense, relaxing, and deeply addictive.
How We Train
We structure our classes to ensure you actually progress. Our weekend batches are perfect if you are balancing a busy work week and want a consistent, weekly commitment. For those who want to jump ahead or master a specific skill, we hold intensive bootcamps. These are longer, syllabus-based sessions that go deep into body mechanics and technical details.
Our CR Park studio is designed for dancers, featuring professional sprung wooden floors that are gentle on your knees during those long practice sessions. We focus on getting you ready for real-world social dance scenarios, not just memorizing choreography. Whether you come for the romantic rhythm of Bachata or the grounding energy of Kizomba, you are joining a family that lives for the beat.
