About Meet Our Poet Tribe
Writing is often a solitary pursuit, but here, it is a conversation. Whether you are a doctor, a software developer, or a student still in school, our tribe is where you bring your words to be heard, refined, and shared. You do not need a degree in literature to join; you just need a story you are ready to tell.
Why We Are Not Your Average Writing Class
We started Delhi Poetry Slam because we wanted to break the myth that poetry belongs in ivory towers. In our studio in Connaught Place and across our online sessions, we see people from all walks of life—doctors in Durgapur, law graduates, and IT professionals—coming together to share their truths.
What Happens In Our Tribe
When you join our programs, like the Writer's Launchpad or the World Poetry Project, you are not just signing up for a class. You are entering a network. Our participants get:
- Practical Guidance: We focus on the business of writing, from navigating royalty contracts to getting your work published in global anthologies.
- Safe Spaces: Whether you are dealing with stage fright or just want to polish your Hindi or English verses, we provide a judgment-free zone.
- Real Connection: We host meet-ups, film shoots, and even share a vegan lunch or some chai. It is about building real relationships that last beyond the workshop duration.
Your Creative Journey Starts Here
We provide the technical tools—voice modulation, stagecraft, and editorial feedback—but you bring the soul. Whether you want to perform spoken word at an open mic or see your name in a published anthology on Amazon, we are here to ensure your words have wings. Our tribe is global, our roots are local, and our door is always open.
Delhi Poetry Slam
We started Delhi Poetry Slam because we wanted to create a space where your words matter, no matter who you are or where you are from. We are not a typical institution; we are a loud, supportive family that believes everyone has a story that needs to be told. Come write with us, because you will find more than just feedback here; you will find your people.
