About Vintage & Coquette Cakes
Getting that precise, Pinterest-ready look takes time. I use high-stability American or Swiss Meringue Buttercream for these designs because it holds the intricate piping and sharp borders required for the vintage Lambeth style. It means your cake stays stable and picture-perfect throughout your party, even in the Mumbai heat.
While the look is all about the coquette aesthetic, the taste is just as important. These vintage-style cakes are structured, usually featuring three layers of sponge with two generous layers of filling to hold their shape. Common pairings include rich chocolate sponge with 55% dark chocolate ganache, or a lighter vanilla sponge with homemade raspberry jam or fruit preserves.
When you order, we can tweak the design to your vision. Whether you want a monochromatic look, specific piping colors, or those signature satin bows, I treat every order as a fresh project. I can do eggless sponges too, so just let me know your requirements when you reach out. Since everything is made from scratch in my home kitchen in Mumbai, please allow a little lead time for me to prep your cake, especially if we are planning something intricate like hand-piped roses or multiple tiers.
