About A Glimpse of Our Studio
We train on professional sprung wooden flooring, which is a game-changer for your joints whether you are practicing Kathak tatkaar or learning a high-energy Bollywood routine. It is that specific, technical difference that keeps our students dancing safely and comfortably for hours without the fatigue you get on hard tiles.
I built AGMI as a community adda, not just a place to learn steps. When you walk into our Paschim Vihar studio, you will see a mix of ages and styles, from our Powerpuff Beginners tackling obstacle courses to build motor skills, to adults refining their Bachata partnerwork.
My teaching philosophy is simple: we do not cut corners. Whether you are in a group class or one-on-one, expect me to be the one reminding you to 'squeeze your bum' or 'flex those feet' because correct posture is the foundation of long-term dance. We focus heavily on the basics—posture alignment, core strength, and rhythm—so you don't just mimic moves, you actually learn the language of dance.
We offer a variety of programs:
- Indian Classical: Deep dives into Kathak, focusing on footwork and storytelling.
- Bollywood & Contemporary: Fun, energetic routines that build stage presence.
- Fitness & Flexibility: Targeted drills to help you gain strength and prevent injuries.
Everything we do is in small batches of 8-12 students, ensuring you get actual correction rather than just being lost in a crowd. If you cannot make it to the studio, our hybrid classes bring that same energy into your living room. We are here to help you grow, mess up, laugh, and eventually, shine.
