Exposing Hidden Cruelty Against Animals
Our advocacy goes beyond individual rescues to tackle systemic abuse. From illegal breeding mills and pet abandonment to the exploitation of working animals, we document the reality behind the glamour and fight for the rights of those who cannot speak for themselves.
This is the core of my message against the illegal breeding industry. Dogs are living beings with the right to a life of dignity, not commodities to be bought and sold for profit.
The stark reality of the breeding industry is profit over welfare. Over 70% of breeding facilities in India do not meet basic animal welfare standards, a fact I challenge through Public Interest Litigation.
This image depicts the grim reality for many dogs in breeding mills. They are kept in cramped, unhygienic cages, leading to severe physical and psychological distress.
Health care is an alarming concern in the breeding industry. Female dogs are forcefully inbred, leading to genetic disorders and shorter lifespans for both mothers and puppies.
With over 30 million stray dogs in India, the emphasis on breeding purebred dogs only worsens the problem. Many of these bred dogs are later abandoned, adding to the population on the streets.
I urge everyone to break the cycle. Stop treating dogs as objects, do not support irresponsible breeding, and choose to adopt to help reduce the number of homeless animals.
A call to action to help raise awareness about responsible pet ownership and support the adoption of our resilient and loving desi dogs.
About this collection
If you witness animal cruelty, do not wait for someone else to act. Whether it is an RWA blocking your right to feed strays or observing systemic abuse like illegal breeding, poor shelter conditions, or the exploitation of working animals, the first step is always documenting verifiable proof. We help people across Bengaluru by turning that evidence into formal complaints, identifying the correct IPC sections to invoke, and providing step-by-step guidance on how to approach the local police station to ensure your report is registered.
Our Approach to Systemic Change
Legal action is our most effective tool against systemic cruelty, but empathy drives us. We believe in science, not fear. When we expose the hidden realities of illegal breeding mills or the abuse of working animals, we do not just document the pain; we build a legal case. Many of these animals suffer in silence, treated as commodities for profit rather than living beings. Our work involves challenging these industries through Public Interest Litigations and ensuring that offenders are held accountable under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
