Personalized Batting Coaching by BCCI-Certified Coach
Batting is an art, and every stroke needs to be crafted with precision. Join me at BGN Cricket Academy to fix your technique, strengthen your stance, and build the foundation of a true match-winner.
One-on-one coaching is all about the small details. Here, I am correcting a player's stance and shoulder position. We work on getting the head still and ensuring the front shoulder dips correctly, not covering the face, to allow for a clear view of the ball and a powerful shot.
"Ball pe nazar rakho!" I am reminding a young batsman to keep his eye on the ball right from the bowler's hand. Correcting footwork is key, and I encourage players to get their front foot out, even if they miss the ball during practice.
This is Amit Raj, a talented 10-year-old player who wants to be like Virat Kohli. I believe in starting young and building a strong foundation, which is why I work with players of all ages, from young kids to seasoned pros.
The cover drive is a classic shot, and we perfect it through intense, repetitive drills. Here, you can see our players focusing on their form, balance, and timing to execute the drive flawlessly.
We use drive drills to perfect a batsman's technique against a moving ball. This helps build muscle memory for playing shots with a straight bat and good follow-through.
Balance is everything, in life and in cricket. This drill focuses on maintaining a stable base while playing a shot, which is fundamental for powerful and controlled batting.
"Jang ghar baithe nahi jeeti jaati." You have to get on the field and practice. A player is seen here working hard in the nets, because that's where matches are truly won.
Side-arm practice is essential for preparing batsmen for high-speed bowling. It helps improve reaction time and the ability to play fast, accurate deliveries.
A glimpse into a group session where young players are learning and having fun. Even in a group, the focus remains on individual improvement and building a strong team spirit.
A view of our net practice from the side. The nets are where a player's real character is built, through hours of facing different types of bowling.
About Personalized Batting Coaching
Batting is not just about power, it is about discipline and balance. In my one-on-one sessions, we don't just hit hundreds of balls; we break down your movement. We focus on fixing your stance, ensuring your front shoulder dips correctly, and keeping your head still to get a clear view of the ball. Whether you are struggling with your cover drive or your defensive technique, I will be right there to guide every movement, turning practice into real muscle memory.
Why One-on-One Matters
Group sessions are excellent for team spirit and match awareness, but they often miss the specific technical nuances that can limit a player's growth. In our private batting sessions at R.K. Puram, it is just you and me. I dedicate the full 60 minutes to your specific needs, whether that's correcting a trigger movement, fixing your bat swing path, or mastering the art of playing late.
Our 'Feed & Hit' Methodology
We use high-volume, drill-heavy sessions to accelerate learning. Using manual throwdowns and the sidearm stick, I can deliver balls at consistent paces and lengths, allowing us to repeat a specific shot—like the cover drive or the flick—until it becomes second nature.
What You Will Master:
- Footwork & Stance: Establishing a stable base that lets you move confidently into your shots.
- Shot Execution: Perfecting your bat swing path for clean, powerful contact.
- Mental Toughness: Learning how to read the bowler and pick the line and length early.
- Video Feedback: For advanced sessions, we use real-time video analysis so you can see exactly where your head position or shoulder alignment needs adjusting.
We train on cement and turf wickets at our R.K. Puram ground. The vibe is raw and focused—no distractions, just cricket. If you are ready to put in the work and sweat, I am here to push you to the next level.
