Meet Varsha: The Heart Behind My Mandala Art

Hello, I am Varsha. For me, creating mandalas is a form of therapy, a way to find calm when things get busy. Here is a little peek into my world and the art I love to create.

Following the trend, here’s my very first Art vs Artist post. This is me, surrounded by the art that brings me so much peace. Each piece is a part of my journey, and I’m so happy I get to share it with you.

About this collection

My art is not about perfection. When I sit down to draw, I am looking for that flow state where time slows down, the same feeling I aim to share in every one of my workshops. If you have ever felt like you need a creative outlet that does not demand technical expertise, that is exactly why I started teaching. It is about the process, not just the final result.

When I first picked up a pen to draw a mandala, I did not know it would become my way of finding peace in a chaotic world. To me, mandala art is a form of meditation. I call it my kind of therapy, a practice that allows me to step away from the noise and just breathe.

Over time, friends asked me how I did it, and that curiosity turned into the workshops I lead today across Mumbai. My goal in teaching is simple: to help you find that same sense of calm, regardless of whether you have ever picked up a sketchbook before. We focus on the basics of grid construction, pattern building, and finding your own rhythm. Whether we are using black fineliners on white paper or Gelly Roll pens on black, the intention remains the same, to slow down and create something that is uniquely yours.

In my sessions, we keep things informal and relaxed. There is no pressure to be an expert. I provide the materials and the guidance, and you bring your willingness to learn. Many of my students come in looking for a break from their daily routines, and it is truly fulfilling to watch them leave feeling lighter and more grounded. If you are interested in exploring mandala art, whether for a group event or a one-on-one session, I would love to connect and share this practice with you.

Hi, I am Varsha. I believe art should be a source of calm, not another to-do list item. When I am not sketching, I am usually busy planning new workshops for people who want to rediscover their creative side.
