Track & Field Coaching in Gurugram

If you are serious about shot put, discus, or javelin, raw strength isn't enough. I help athletes refine their rotation, balance, and release mechanics for maximum distance, right here in Gurugram.

I am incredibly proud to have been part of the training journey for Seema Punia-Antil, a four time Olympian and legendary Indian discus thrower. This shows a glimpse of our work together and her success, which is a testament to the high level of athletic preparation we provide.

This is where strength meets skill. I'm providing real time feedback to a shot put athlete, correcting his rotation and body control. You can hear me instructing, "jaldi mat kar" (don't rush), because in throwing, perfect form is everything for maximizing power and distance.

Here I am coaching an athlete through shot put rotation drills at night. My instructions, "body balance banao" (create body balance) and "jaldi mat kar" (don't rush), are focused on perfecting the technique needed for a powerful throw.

This video shows three of my throwers working on their specific events: shot put, discus, and javelin. Each athlete is focused on the technical details of their discipline, from rotation rhythm to release mechanics.

About this collection

Forget generic gym workouts; throwing requires specific kinetic chain coordination. Whether we’re fixing your rotation rhythm or perfecting your release point, we don’t just train for strength—we train for efficiency. Expect constant, blunt feedback like "jaldi mat kar" (don't rush) because in throwing, that split-second difference between a good throw and a great one is all in your technique.

Throwing is an art of physics disguised as raw power. Most athletes come to me with great strength but leak power through poor technique. Whether you’re competing in shot put, discus, or javelin, our sessions break down your movement into micro-phases.

Technical Breakdown

We start from the ground up. In shot put and discus, the drive comes from the legs, but the power is lost if your rotation isn't locked in. I spend our evening outdoor sessions drilling that rotation rhythm until it's subconscious. You will hear me telling you to "pakad ke rakhiye position" (hold the position) because the moment you rush the release, you lose distance.

The Training Blend

We don't just stand in the circle. We integrate these field drills with a gym regimen designed for throwing athletes. You’ll be doing Olympic lifts—snatch, clean, and jerk—to build the explosive power necessary to move the implement fast. It’s a complete system:

  • Outdoor Technical Sessions: Focus on footwork, rotation, and release mechanics in the throwing circle.
  • Gym Strength Work: Targeted work on your posterior chain and core stability.
  • Periodization: We plan your training blocks so you peak for competition, not just for a daily workout.

This isn't for everyone. It’s for the athlete willing to do the boring, repetitive drills that make the big throws possible. If you’re ready to stop guessing and start measuring, let’s get to work.

I’m Rajeev, and coaching is my life’s work. I don't just put you through a workout; I teach you how to move with power, precision, and intent, whether that's under the barbell or in the throwing circle.
