Corporate & City Marathon Management
Directing a race requires more than planning a route. It needs scientific safety protocols, government liaison, and a 'jatre' festival vibe that turns a run into a community memory.
The TCS World 10K is a landmark event in the Bengaluru running calendar. Here, we are at the unveiling of the new medal for the 2025 edition. Being involved in such prestigious events allows us to contribute to the city's running culture and set high standards for race organization.
The Tata Mumbai Marathon is more than just a race; it's a hub for the entire running ecosystem. It’s where we connect with legends like Sir Mo Farah and industry leaders like AIMS President Paco Barao. These interactions are invaluable for learning and bringing world class practices to our own events.
The launch of the TCS World 10K is always an electrifying affair. This year was special as the event moved to a new venue, made possible through our coordination with the Indian Army. Securing unique venues and managing relationships with authorities are key parts of our event curation service.
The race expo is the vibrant heart of a marathon weekend. At the TMM 2024 expo, we engaged with participants, partners, and the event ambassador, Olympic Pole Vault Champion Katie Moon. Managing the pre race experience is just as important as the race day itself to create a holistic and memorable event.
We were excited to witness the launch of the upgraded Wipro Bengaluru Marathon. Celebrating ten years of this event shows the power of sustained commitment to the running community. We thrive on being part of the evolution of major city marathons.
An event is also a celebration of milestones. At the TCS W10K, we celebrated our JJsRunning community reaching the milestone of influencing 10,000 people to adopt an active lifestyle. This cake cutting ceremony with our runners shows that our events are built on a foundation of community and shared achievement.
This was a proud moment, receiving an award on behalf of my brother who started his running journey after turning 50. It reinforces my belief that it's never too late to start. Our events are designed to welcome and celebrate runners of all ages and abilities, truly embodying the spirit of "Neevu Odabahudu" (You can also run).
About this collection
You need more than just traffic cones and a start line. The real challenge in large-scale city marathons is the medical grid and the precise timing of road closures. I handle the police liaison and technical safety standards personally, so your event runs like clockwork, not like a disaster waiting to happen.
Organising a race is not just about the distance. It is about the infrastructure, the safety, and the story you tell your participants. My approach to marathon management is rooted in what I call the 'Jatre' spirit—turning a logistical challenge into a festival where everyone feels they belong.
The Science of Safety
I do not cut corners. Whether it is a 500-person community run or a 10,000+ participant corporate marathon, the safety framework is identical. We map out the route architecture to optimise runner flow and conduct rigorous safety audits. This includes working with hospital-grade medical grids, including ALS (Advanced Life Support) ambulances and bike medics with AEDs, ensuring your runners are protected from the first kilometre to the last.
Permission & Logistics
Getting a marathon on the road is the hardest part. I personally liaise with government departments, traffic police, and district administration to secure the necessary permissions. You do not want to be dealing with a road closure notice on the morning of your event. I handle the bureaucratic friction so you can focus on the race experience.
Technical Standards
From RFID chip timing mats to live SMS results and co-branded dry-fit jerseys, I manage the vendor ecosystem that makes an event look professional. I bring in timing partners, professional anchors, and photographers who understand the nuances of sports events. My goal is to deliver an experience that matches the quality of the events I have directed, such as the TCS World 10K or the Tata Mumbai Marathon.
