Getting a crowd of 1,000+ ready isn't about just playing music. I use 'Visual Cueing Pro Max'—big, clear hand signals that everyone can see even in the back of a stadium. It is all about getting those muscles active while keeping spirits high before the gun goes off.
When you have a massive group of runners at a place like Kanteerava Stadium, you cannot rely on verbal instructions. The music is loud, the adrenaline is high, and the back rows need to know exactly what to do. That is where my experience as a ZES comes in. I use non-verbal cues that cut through the noise, ensuring everyone is on the same page.
My approach is focused on dynamic stretching. I don't just want the crowd jumping; I want them prepared. We focus on mobility and getting the blood flowing to the right muscle groups to prevent pulls and injuries before the start gun fires.
I have led warm-ups for major events like the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon and various corporate runs. Whether you are organizing a serious race or a community fun run, I customize the routine to suit the distance and the crowd's energy. For smaller runs or school events, we keep it a bit more casual, but for the big marathons, we treat it like a full-blown fitness habba (festival).
