The Champions Factory: My Training Philosophy
I don't run a gym for hobbyists. I build fighters. If you are serious about discipline and real combat strength, you are in the right place.
This is how we build champions. My training focuses on old-school functional strength with exercises like Gada swings and rope climbing. This is real mehnat for real combat.
Talk is cheap. This is my Gold Medal in Lathi Sports from the Delhi Games. I don't just teach, I have competed and won at the highest level.
We build strength that matters in a fight. Here I am with a Gada, a traditional tool for developing powerful shoulders and a strong core, essential for Lathi Khel.
I am Coach Sikandar Phore, a national and international athlete and an A-grade referee. My academy, Karate Gurukul, is for those serious about mastering martial arts.
My work and achievements are recognized by official bodies like the Sports Department of Haryana. I am committed to upholding the standards of authentic martial arts training.
This is my principle: 'Jang mein jaane wale ghode kabhi baraat mein nahi naachte'. War horses don't dance at weddings. My training is for the battlefield, not for show.
About Featured
You will not find fancy machines here. Instead, my training focuses on old-school functional strength. Expect to work with heavy traditional Mugdars for grip power and climb vertical ropes for explosive upper-body conditioning. This is combat-ready training designed for the battlefield, not for aesthetics. If you decide to join, be prepared to sweat, show up on time, and put in the effort every single day.
Authentic Martial Arts Training
I operate Karate Gurukul on a simple principle: war horses do not dance at weddings. My training is not about looking good in a uniform; it is about building the speed, stamina, and reflex required for real-world self-defense and competitive Lathi Khel.
Why Train With Me?
My expertise is not theoretical. I am a Delhi Games Lathi gold medalist, a 3rd Dan Black Belt, and an active national-level official. I have walked the path of a competitor, dealt with tournament pressure, and understood the technical rules of the Delhi Olympic Association. When you train under me, you are learning techniques that have been tested in competition, not just practiced in a studio.
What to Expect
Whether you are enrolling for Lathi Khel, Karate, or pure combat conditioning, the structure is rigorous:
- Technical Mastery: We start with the basics of Paitra (stance) and movement before moving to strikes and blocks with a 5-6 ft Bamboo Lathi.
- Desi Strength: We utilize traditional conditioning methods like Gada (mace) swings and Dand-Baithak. This builds the shoulder and core strength necessary for powerful strikes.
- Sparring: We practice full-contact bouts under supervision, using proper gear to simulate competition environments.
Who This Is For
I welcome anyone who is ready to work. My students range from kids and teenagers aiming for championships to adults looking for genuine self-defense skills. If you are looking for shortcuts or a casual hobby, my academy is not the right fit. But if you want to become a champion and are willing to put in the hours, you will find a mentor here.
