Handmade Portraits and Conceptual Sketches by Chidu
Welcome to my gallery. Every sketch here is hand-drawn with heart, whether it is a realistic graphite portrait, vibrant color pencil work, or my signature scribble style.
This time-lapse shows the process of creating one of my most unique offerings: blood art. Using a safe and sterile process, I create deeply personal portraits with a striking reddish-brown hue, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind piece of art.
A tribute to the legend, Puneeth Rajkumar. This realistic graphite pencil portrait is one of my favorites, where I focused on capturing the warmth and kindness in his unforgettable smile.
I love creating portraits that become cherished family memories. This custom pencil sketch of two siblings was commissioned as a special gift, capturing their innocent and gentle expressions.
This is my modern scribble art style, featuring Kiccha Sudeep in his iconic role from "Huccha". This energetic and colorful technique uses free-flowing lines to build a portrait with a lot of movement and emotion.
Here is a look at a framed acrylic painting of Lord Krishna. I use bold, vibrant colors on canvas to create divine art that brings a sense of peace and energy to any space.
A detailed pencil portrait of the beloved Kannada content creator, Akka Anu. I focused on capturing her bright, cheerful personality and expressive smile in this commissioned artwork.
A powerful pencil portrait of the cricket king, Virat Kohli. My goal here was to capture the intense focus and determination he is known for on the field.
This video shows how I transform a client's photograph into a hand-drawn masterpiece. You can see the comparison between the reference photo and my detailed pencil work in this portrait of a young girl in traditional attire.
About Featured
I approach every piece by looking past the photograph. Using a grid method for my realistic graphite work or controlled chaos for my scribble art, I focus on capturing the exact emotion—the warmth in a smile or the intensity in a gaze—that makes a portrait feel alive.
Art is how I show what matters to me. When you commission a piece, you are not just getting a drawing on paper; you are getting a record of a moment that I have spent hours carefully detailing.
My Techniques
- Realistic Graphite & Charcoal: I use professional-grade graphite (HB to 8B) on 200 GSM acid-free paper. I apply a fixative spray on every completed portrait to prevent smudging and yellowing, so your memory stays crisp.
- Scribble Art: This is for those who want something bold. I use 160 GSM paper and create portraits using continuous, chaotic ink lines. It is an impressionistic take on your photo that stands out in any room.
- Color Pencil: I layer wax and oil-based pigments on 250 GSM paper to create vibrant, fade-resistant portraits, perfect for portraits or spiritual themes.
- Blood Art: A deeply personal and niche offering. I use a safe, sterile process to create portraits with a unique reddish-brown tone.
How We Work Together
You send me a clear photograph, and we chat about the style that fits best. I keep you updated with a digital proof mid-process so we are on the same page. Once I finish, I pack the work in a secure PVC pipe or rigid tube to ensure it reaches your doorstep in Karnataka without a crease.
