Custom Caricatures and Editorial Illustrations
From hand-drawn editorial cartoons that make you think to personalised caricatures for gifts, my art is all about real lines and honest stories. Everything here is drawn by hand, just like my early days in the village.
This time-lapse shows my process of creating a tribute caricature for the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. I start with strong ink lines to capture her expressive features and then add color to bring the portrait to life.
This is an example of my editorial cartoon work in Hindi. It comments on the political pressures and various challenges, like the economy, healthcare, and social media, faced by the government.
My hand-drawn tribute to the unforgettable actor Irrfan Khan. I focused on capturing his unique expression and intense gaze using detailed ink work, a style I often use for commemorative portraits.
This is a solemn editorial illustration I created to honor the soldiers we lost in the Pulwama terror attack. Sometimes, a simple, powerful image without words conveys the deepest respect and sorrow.
I drew this caricature of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman to celebrate his return. It was my way of honoring a national hero, capturing his courage and the pride of the entire country.
A minimalist illustration of Mahatma Gandhi created with just a few bold, flowing lines. This piece shows how a simple design can capture the essence of a great personality.
This caricature is a tribute to Minal Dakhave Bhosale, a virologist who delivered a COVID-19 test kit for our country just hours before delivering her baby. It's a celebration of her incredible dedication.
Watch me create a line art illustration from scratch in this short video. This piece, made for Women's Day, shows my process of building a portrait with flowing, continuous pen strokes.
About Featured
Whether I am sketching a digital file or creating a framed A3 artwork, I don't just copy photos—I focus on capturing the personality traits that make you, you. I share rough sketches with you first, so we make sure the expressions are perfect before I finish the final ink work. It’s all about getting those strong, honest lines right.
I started drawing because I had to fix torn books in my village—that is where the 'art ka keeda' began. Years later, that habit of observing and copying expressions is what I bring to every commission.
My work in this gallery shows the range of what I do. You will see editorial cartoons where I use strong lines to comment on social issues, often using Hindi text to make the message land better. Then there are the personal commissions—caricatures for birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate gifts.
My Process
Whether you want a high-res digital scan or a framed physical artwork, the process is transparent:
- Ideation: You tell me the story or the scenario. Want to be sitting on a tiger or showing some swag? We can do that.
- Rough Sketches: I start with a pencil layout to get the composition and the humour right. I share this with you so we can make changes early.
- Final Art: Once you approve the sketch, I move to final ink work. I focus on hand-drawn lines, not digital filters.
I believe art should be honest. I don't use templates, and I don't rush. Whether it is a tribute to a legend or a funny gift for your boss, I pour the same effort into the details.
