A dialogue between cultures. I transform salvaged Kutch embroidery, Balinese Ikat, and Banarasi silk into one-of-a-kind home accents that carry their own histories.

A custom-made Banjara throw and lumbar cushion set, designed to add a burst of festive color. The vintage Banjara textile is richly embellished with old jewelry, coins, and tassels, turning it into a statement piece for the sofa.

A detail shot of the old silver jewelry pieces used to embellish the Banjara textiles. These found objects add an authentic, historical touch to the final creation.

Another view of the vibrant Banjara throw, showcasing its rich colors and textures. This is a perfect example of an upcycled, one-of-a-kind heirloom piece.

A pure linen throw edged with a border made from vintage Lambani head patches. The combination of the simple linen and the intricate, mirror-work embroidery creates a beautiful textural contrast.

The Lambani-edged throw styled on a bench, showing its versatility as a decorative accent. The checkered pattern and coin details of the Lambani patches add a distinct tribal touch.

A close-up of the throw draped over a wooden chest. You can see the detailed embroidery, mirror work, and old coins that make each Lambani patch a small work of art.

The throw styled with coordinating cushions, demonstrating how to create a cohesive look. The deep indigo of the linen pairs beautifully with the colorful embroidery.

A silk runner that combines two distinct textile traditions: Balinese Endek Ikat and tribal Banjara embroidery from Kutch. The vibrant red of the hand-loomed Balinese fabric is grounded by the earthy, intricate embroidery.

About Global-Tribal Runners & Throws

Because these pieces rely on salvaged vintage textiles, such as specific Banjara patches or rare Balinese weaves, every runner and throw is physically impossible to duplicate. We can replicate the general vibe and colour palette, but the exact patchwork placement and embroidery will always be a unique improvisation based on the materials currently in my studio.

I view these runners and throws as a conversation between materials. When you place a Balinese Songket next to a fragment of Banarasi silk, you are seeing a history of trade and craftsmanship that spans continents. This is not factory-made inventory; it is a labor of slow, sustainable craft.

The Materiality

My practice is built on finding beauty in the discarded. You will find pieces in this collection that utilize Endek Ikat, traditional Rabari embroidery, and vintage scraps that might otherwise have been forgotten. Every textile has a past, whether it is a Kutch patch that witnessed village celebrations or a strip of silk saved from a studio offcut. By layering these, I create something that feels grounded, warm, and distinctly personal.

The Process

We start with a conversation. Since every runner or throw is created from salvaged elements, no two pieces are identical. When you reach out, we discuss your space, the colors you want to highlight, and the history you want to bring into your home.

I operate out of my studio in Worli, but I ship these textile stories across India. If you have a family heirloom that needs a new life, or if you want to pair specific regional weaves for a festive tablescape, let us chat about what is possible. Because these pieces involve manual stitching and complex material sourcing, I recommend reaching out a few weeks in advance to allow for the design and assembly process.

I am a storyteller at heart, using textiles as my medium. My studio in Worli is filled with salvaged wood, vintage embroidery from Kutch, and woven finds from my travels in Bali and Hoi An. I do not believe in mass-producing decor; I believe in saving pieces that have lived a life and giving them a new voice on your sofa or table.
