This collection offers a glimpse into my world of textile stories. Each piece is a labor of love, blending salvaged materials, heritage crafts, and personal narratives to add soul to your living space.

This is the culmination of a deeply personal commission: a complete set of nine Navagraha frames. Each of the nine frames is hand-painted on a restored vintage clock frame, interpreting the iconography of the nine celestial bodies of Vedic astrology. This project represents the heart of my work, merging art, history, and spiritual storytelling.

A sofa throw quilted entirely from scrap fabrics, inspired by the spontaneous beauty of Siddi Kawandi and Japanese Boro stitching. This piece celebrates my zero-waste philosophy, where every scrap has a story and a purpose. It features vintage Kutch embroidery and playful appliqué details, making it a truly one-of-a-kind textile artwork for the home.

Here is a finished Pichwai painting, beautifully settled in its new home in Singapore. I created a custom fabric border using colorful studio offcuts, carefully pieced together to echo the vibrant palette of the artwork without overpowering it. It shows how a thoughtful frame can elevate a piece of art into a personal statement.

A hand-painted homage to the goddess Durga, housed within a restored vintage clock frame and a salvaged brass Prabhavali. This piece is inspired by the protective spirit of a dreamcatcher and the narrative style of Pattachitra art, adorned with found-object trims to complete its story.

A custom table runner designed to bring life and tradition to the dining space. This piece combines an indigo and madder hand-block printed body with a vintage Banjara embroidery panel, featuring quirky, free-motion embroidered animal figures. It’s a perfect example of how we can blend different craft forms to create something unique for your home.

A custom set featuring a Banjara throw and a matching lumbar cushion, created to bring a festive and colorful energy to a living space. I embellished the vibrant vintage Banjara textile with details from my collection of old jewelry, coins, and handmade tassels, transforming it into a modern heirloom.

A look at the hands-on process of creating a custom textile piece. Here, I am stitching vintage Lambani mirror-work patches onto a linen base. Every stitch is intentional, combining different textures and histories to create a cohesive and beautiful new story.

I believe in sharing the stories behind the craft. I film my process, from sourcing vintage textiles to the final stitch, and share these journeys on YouTube. This image is from a video about a project that blends Balinese and Indian textile traditions.

About Featured

Every piece you see here begins with a search for history, whether it is a vintage textile from Kutch, a salvaged teak frame, or studio offcuts too precious to discard. I do not simply assemble materials; I compose them, stitching together contrasting traditions like Balinese Ikat and Indian embroidery. When you bring one of these works into your home, you are choosing a living, breathing narrative of craftsmanship over mass production.

My work is rooted in the philosophy of 'scrap to story.' I believe that nothing is ever just waste. By finding beauty in the forgotten, I restore and reimagine objects that have lived a previous life. This collection highlights the breadth of what we can create together.

The Art of Restoration

I work with discarded items like vintage teak clock frames, which I chemically treat and restore before applying traditional painting styles. I often integrate brass Prabhavali halos and found-object trims to turn a simple frame into a sacred object. These pieces are not just wall decor; they are homages to the divine, drawing from the narrative richness of Pattachitra and other folk art forms.

Material Culture and Textile Stories

My textile practice is a blend of global and local heritage. I take scrap fabrics—including luxury studio offcuts like Banarasi silk and Gajji silk—and piece them together using techniques inspired by Siddi Kawandi and Japanese Boro. This improv patchwork style allows me to create completely unique throws, runners, and cushions that carry the weight and warmth of history.

Collaborating on Your Narrative

If you are looking for something that feels authentic to your space, we can work together to design a piece that matches your requirements. Whether it is restoring a family heirloom or creating a custom runner that blends your preferred colors with traditional Indian embroidery, the process is slow, meditative, and entirely personal. I encourage you to reach out if you would like to discuss a project that honors your own stories.
