We bring nature indoors through Ayurvastra textiles and preserved botanical art. Chaliye, let's explore our favorite pieces that celebrate slow, sustainable living.

You may have heard of Ayurveda, but let me tell you about Ayurvastra. It is the ancient art of using medicinal herbs to dye and print fabrics. In this video, I am using indigo, a plant that was once used to make healing fabrics for soldiers. For me, as a yoga practitioner, this art form is a kind of therapy, a way to keep this beautiful tradition alive.

I call these my 'Eternal Bouquets'. I carefully collect, press, and frame real flowers and leaves to preserve their beauty forever. This video shows a few examples, each holding a unique story and a piece of nature's art, perfect for adding a timeless touch to your walls.

Here is a look at how I create my wearable art. This is a real rosebud, carefully preserved and transformed into a delicate hoop earring. It’s my way of letting you carry a small piece of a garden with you, a reminder of nature's simple elegance.

This ruffled pillow cover brings a soft, natural touch to your home. It was dyed using plant-based pigments, giving it a unique, earthy pattern. It sits here next to a macrame cushion, showing how handmade textures can create a warm and inviting space.

Inspired by the traditional gajra, I love creating hair accessories from nature. Here, I show how to make beautiful hairpins using fallen leaves. It's a simple way to adorn yourself with the beauty of nature, celebrating even the aged and broken leaves.

A homegrown cosmos flower, pressed and preserved on my own handmade paper. The sunlight catching the delicate petals shows the simple beauty I aim to capture. This piece is part of a larger collection of botanical art I am creating.

This is a table mat I created using only natural pigments. The green leaf prints are made using an eco-printing technique, while the scalloped border is colored with coffee and madder root. It’s a functional piece of art that brings sustainability to your dining table.

About Featured

When you choose our Ayurvastra textiles, please note that color variation is a sign of authenticity, not a defect. Because we use seasonal botanicals like turmeric, indigo, and madder roots instead of synthetic chemicals, each piece carries unique, earthy tones that age gracefully with time.
