Featured Heritage Restoration and Custom Decor
This collection offers a glimpse into how I turn discarded wood, salvaged trunks, and vintage textiles into meaningful stories for your home. Each piece here represents a second chance for history, blending traditional art with modern living.
This hand-painted vintage trunk, reimagined as a vibrant coffee table, is the centerpiece of a home. It embodies my passion for giving old objects a new life, blending traditional Kalamkari and temple art motifs with functional design to create a true conversation starter.
A salvaged camphor wood panel, once forgotten, is now a canvas for Krishna's tales. Through meticulous restoration and a combination of hand-painting and digital artistry, this architectural fragment has been transformed into a piece of fine art, rich with narrative and color.
This is the complete Navagraha series, a commission that turned nine discarded clock frames into a celestial wall installation. Each frame is a hand-painted homage to one of the nine planets of Vedic astrology, a testament to how bespoke art can transform a space.
My custom memory boxes are designed to hold your most precious keepsakes. This piece, crafted from salvaged teak, uses decoupage and hand-painting to weave together themes of colonial-era portraiture and traditional Indian jewelry, making it a personal treasure chest.
A tribute to the goddess Durga, this piece transforms a discarded clock frame into a sacred object. I've encased a vintage prabhavali and hand-painted the frame with Pattachitra-inspired details, creating a unique wall hanging that blends the spirit of a dreamcatcher with devotional art.
Infused with a nomadic spirit, this Banjara-inspired accent trunk brings drama and color to any room. I use a collage of vintage portraits, oversized Afghan jewelry motifs, and bold patterns to turn a simple teak box into a vibrant, eclectic piece of functional art.
An oversized family heirloom prabhavali finds a new purpose in this custom commission. I framed it with a digitally painted Vishnu, inspired by the Company School style, and mounted it on deep blue Banarasi silk to create a striking piece of devotional wall art.
Watch the story of a small box unfold. This video shows the many layers, intricate brushstrokes, and months of dedicated work that go into transforming a simple wooden box into a detailed work of art, ready to hold your intimate histories.
About Featured
Every piece in this collection begins with a specific salvaged object—an old trunk, a broken clock frame, or a camphor panel—that dictates the final design. Before you message me, consider whether you want a functional piece like a memory box or a wall-mounted statement. If you have an heirloom that requires restoration, please mention its current condition in your inquiry, as the structural integrity determines how we proceed with the art layer.
The Art of Second Chances
My work is not just about paint; it is about listening to the object. Whether I am transforming a reclaimed teak box or breathing life into a discarded clock frame, the process is inherently slow. I do not believe in mass production. Instead, I spend weeks on restoration, cleaning the wood, treating the surfaces, and preparing the frame before any brush touches the material.
Materials and Narratives
I draw inspiration from Indian art forms like Pattachitra, Kalamkari, and Pichwai. When I work with textiles, I prefer salvaged scraps from Kutch or vintage Bali ikat, ensuring that no material goes to waste. A camphor panel might be reimagined through Krishna's tales, while a vintage trunk might be layered with Afghan jewelry motifs to bring out a nomadic spirit. Each material has a past, and my role is to help it find a new voice.
Collaborating on Custom Commissions
If you have a piece of family history—an old prabhavali or an antique trunk—let us discuss how we can integrate it into your living space. We will talk through your design preferences, the stories you want to highlight, and the functional needs of the item. My goal is to ensure that what we create feels like an extension of your own story, not just a static decor piece. I ship across India and work primarily from my workshop in Worli, Mumbai.
