Antique Art Restoration and Canvas Repair
Whether it is a family portrait from the 1930s or a damaged canvas, I bring forgotten art back to its original vibrancy. I combine careful cleaning with structural repairs to ensure your piece tells its story for years to come.

This is a fully restored oil portrait from 1935. Notice the rich colors in the red turban and the smooth skin tones, all brought back to their original glory after careful conservation work.
A close-up view of severe paint peeling on an old canvas. This shows the extent of damage I can handle, where large sections of the original artwork are missing and the canvas is exposed.
Here you can see my careful restoration process in action. I am meticulously retouching a portrait, using a reference photograph on my phone to ensure complete accuracy to the original artist's style.

My process starts with careful solvent testing to see how the paint reacts, which lets me safely remove decades of grime and yellowed varnish without damaging the original layers underneath. This step is non-negotiable for me because it is the only way to ensure the colors and fine details are revealed, not washed away.
Restoring a painting is not a quick fix, and I treat every canvas as if it were my own. When a piece comes into my studio, I first assess the damage—whether it is surface grime, peeling paint, or deep structural tears. I use conservation-grade materials to stabilize the canvas, filling cracks with specialized putty and matching the original brushstrokes one at a time.
I have restored works from as early as 1935, and seeing the look on a client's face when they see their family history come back to life is why I do this. Whether you have an oil portrait with yellowed varnish or a canvas with missing sections, I focus on bringing back the original 'khubsurti' (beauty) of the artwork.
From my base in Kudla, Mangalore, I work with clients across India. I accept shipments of damaged art and maintain constant communication with progress photos throughout the restoration stages, from chemical cleaning and varnish renewal to complex structural lining. If you have an antique piece that feels lost to time, send me a photo so we can discuss how to give it a new lease on life.
