About Nurturing Young Talent: Our Junior Stars

At this age, we don't look for power; we look for posture. Using tools like T-cones and deflection ramps, I break down the stance and grip into small, manageable movements. It builds a foundation that sticks, preventing bad habits before they take root.

Cricket is a mental game, but for juniors, it starts with physical coordination. At Centurions, we do not rush the process. Whether it is a six-year-old learning to hold a bat or a ten-year-old practicing the sweep shot, my approach remains the same: basics first.

We operate out of both Kurla and Andheri, providing a mix of indoor and outdoor facilities that keep practice going regardless of Mumbai's weather. Juniors learn in a group environment, which builds social confidence, but they receive individual technical corrections during every session.

We use specific drills to build that cricketing eye. T-cone drills are staples here for footwork; underarm-to-bowling-machine drills help with timing before we move to hard-ball sessions. I am also a certified sports fitness trainer, so we integrate agility ladders and resistance bands early on. It is not just about the game; it is about creating a safe, disciplined space where kids feel confident to try, fail, and get better.

I’m Jitesh, and for me, a six-year-old on the pitch is just as serious as a club player. I don't just teach cricket; I teach kids how to hold their bat, stand balanced, and get back up after a fall. We keep it simple, honest, and technically sound.
