Every big shot starts with a solid foundation. Whether you’re learning to sweep, punch off the backfoot, or power hit, my training focuses on the technique that gets you ready for any match situation.

This is part one of our sweep shot tutorial. I explain the fundamentals: getting your head towards the ball, touching your chest to your front knee, and extending your arms. A strong base is everything for playing this shot effectively against spinners.

In part two of the sweep shot drill, we put the theory into practice. I guide the player to keep his body weight forward and avoid falling back, which ensures a clean connection. You can see the immediate improvement in his balance and execution.
